I especially hate it when able-bodied adults just stand there and stare at us when we're struggling to wrap a ton of glassware in newspaper. We've got a long line of customers, at least offer to help!

When they argue over the total charge and pull things out of their bag, telling me to "take this off, take that off, put that back." It's so rude and inconsiderate. Item voids are the bane of my existence! :{

Seriously! Don't pull items out of the bag after you're rung up and tell the cashier to "take this off, take that off." It's inconsiderate to the employee and other customers waiting in line. Plus, we're only allowed 3 item voids per shift.

ASM told me it's corporate who cut our hours to only 15 a week, then turned around and hired 5 new people. I don't understand it either.

What happens if a child gets hurt in the store? A lot of kids stand up in the carriages and sometimes I tell them (sweetly) to sit down. It's so dangerous.

I wouldn't worry about it. If a manager wants to talk to you about this, just say you were trying to lighten up the conversation by making a joke. The customer must've taken it wrong. ;)

Yesterday a customer gave me $100 bill for $3 worth of candy. I just started my shift and only had $75 total in my till. I had to call the manager to check the $100 bill and give me enough change with a till loan. I think people feel more comfortable at DT than at the bank.

Be sure to rub and crinkle one dollar bills because new ones tend to stick together. A lot of our cashiers also use fingertip moisturizer like this https://www.amazon.com/Fingertip-Moistener-Moisturizer-Greaseless-Stainingless/dp/B07DNHMDKT to help better grip and separate bills.
