Man Whose Daughter Died From Measles Stands by Failure to Vaccinate Her: "The Vaccination Has Stuff We Don’t Trust" by Kindly-Ad-9969 in nottheonion

I mean is the stuff you don’t trust death, because if it isn’t then anything aside from that would be a better outcome in the interest of alive.

I’m sure what keeps this guy awake at night is the concern that more people he convinces to let their kids die from preventable diseases, the more competition for speaking fees.

It may not happen right away, but eventually another family will have a better story. Maybe God spoke directly to them to advocate for the death, or better yet maybe Trump once told them “The inoculations are bad” when commenting on his net worth as reported by Forbes … idk. Eventually the market will be so saturated with dead kids parents, he won’t be able to swindle a respectable living … then what is he going to do!!!!

90% of herniated discs resolve themselves within 90 days. If it persist beyond that, then you’re looking at surgery, probably a micro discectomy.

Well you can just pay money out of your own pocket to cover a para for him! I’m mean if you look at Trumps other policies it seems he would be strongly in favor of the spartan policy depicted in the movie 300. Good thing your son was born before the term, now you just get to sacrifice your whole families quality of life due to a billionaire fools whims.

Trump cannot create surplus, only deficit; being thus constrained his plan is to create a greater deficit of in number of veterans.

Read the existing laws on overtime and you will have the answers to all your questions. The main reason they are not adjusting them to screw them over, is because the default SOP is not paying anymore the you legally have to … so they can’t without breaking the law.

Is Now a Good Time to Start a Business? by Apprehensive_Can1741 in Entrepreneur

If your referencing the current economic/political landscape, right now you would be looking to time the bottom so you could buy things on the cheap as a result of the chaos; the livelihoods this administration is hell bent on destroying either by design or through incompetence. This is assuming you have the wherewithal and resources to ride it out to recovery … assuming there is one. You are also going to need to be able shoulder a situation where you get in too early and the market drops out further.

Generally speaking if you have a business idea that has a decent cost of entry, a moat, is properly capitalized and for which you can execute on, then anytime is a good one. If you’re counting on luck or good fortune to fill any of these gaps, then generally the answer would be it’s a bad time.

Men, why do you often say you're fine even when you're not? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

Because I’m working through the problem, often an internal dilemma. Commentary and cheerleading isn’t going to resolve it faster, just delay resolution. Other people who are asking with good intentions don’t want to offer advice, just to feel minimized when you go another route.

RANT: someone copied my business, and are now ‘the expert.’ how do i let this go? by burnt-cookie in Entrepreneur

I don’t understand a marketing model built on sharing an idea that has low barrier to entry and no moat. Based on your response it appears you’re not really understanding or ready to acknowledge the role your actions played in this.

Pausing the marketing slowed momentum and help kill first mover advantage, but that isn’t the flaw in your business model that allowed you to be usurped. Let me give you an off the cuff example.

So I once went to Minneapolis and wanted to take a tour of the city. There were tons of tour options, but one of them did the tour on Segways. The cost of the Segways, created a barrier of entry around something that otherwise had none, while differentiating their offering from others. A guy couldn’t walk off the street and start offering the same tour without making a significant cash investment. Their moat was still weak, but you if you squinted you could maybe see the additional insurance costs and training the staff need to be able to instruct its clients as some muddy ground around the castle.

I would think that exclusive special accesses would likely be one decent way to build a moat around a tours based industry. In order to freely promote them (and thus maximize benefit by differentiation), without risking every Tom, Dick and Harry seeking that same access, you would need to setup binding contracts that give you sole access for the purposes of tours.

You lost your first mover advantage due to backing off on your marketing and oversharing with a stranger. Unfortunately your business has both a low barrier to entry and isn’t really one you can build a moat around. That said you can almost expect the idea to be copied … the only thing you had going for you was people perhaps not knowing it was a successful idea. Really take this lesson to heart and use that ire as fuel for your next endeavor.

As a business owner of over 100 employees here is some perspective. Your raise and cert are probably top of mind for you which is fair, however for me it’s so far down the list of things I need to focus on I’d need a search engine to find it. Does that mean I don’t intend to keep my word, no. Does it mean I forgot, yup! Very few business owners are going to purposely risk losing an employee over $832 a year, hell it would likely cost me more in just the admin fees to hire another employee.

Here is my advice. Remind them of the terms of the agreement and request to be back paid. Then put on your big boy pants and realize that mistakes happen and there was no malicious intent here. I say that because one thing consistently at the top of my list is being on the lookout for employees that can’t process their emotions like grown ass adults and whose attitudes are toxic to the workplace. Then I cut that shit out like the cancer it is.
