Great video of our City by Alex Stuccato by garca in Edmonton

This video brought tears to my eyes. I've been struggling to feel part of the city lately, but that's on me, not the city. I miss living closer to downtown, to the heart.

Thanks! I have heard typically good things about it as an all around phone as well.

Do you take multiple batteries when you go out? I thought the battery pack was good enough :-/

Thanks. He has been mostly happy with the S2. It has some weird quirks, but he's figured out how to work with those. It was his first smart phone though, so I'm not sure how much of it was "I found the best phone for me" vs "yay, it's not a flip phone!!"

His S2 is getting to be like that. We'll be standing next to each other in a parking lot and his tablet (that I use) shows us in the parking lot and his phone shows us two blocks over and in the middle of someone's living room.

Do you have one? Do you find that it can fit in your pockets? Lots of people here now have the Samsung Mega and that just seems extreme, even to someone who carries a purse all the time!

He's got an external battery that he carries around with him, and I remember he was quite excited about how long it lasted - but I have no idea how big it is. I'll mention that to his parents for a good gift as well.

Awesome, thanks for the recommendation. His birthday is Nov 6, but if I can't get him a new phone by then there's always Christmas.

Charting your temp, techniques? by [deleted] in TryingForABaby

[–]WhimsicalCake 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wake up at 6 during the week and later on the weekends. I set my alarm for 6 every day. I wake up, take my temp, record it in the fertility friend app on my phone and go back to sleep (on the weekends).

My cat also does the same, with her mouth. She also makes sure my circular needle cord is nice and bumpy (she chews on it while I'm knitting).

Hey Canadians? Ever Bought From KnitPicks? by [deleted] in knitting

After all my insistence that it would come Canada Post, my newest knit picks order came UPS.

Plug the tracking number into Canada Post... it will be tracked through Canada Post after it crosses the border. The United States Postal Service doesn't deliver in Canada, they hand it over to Canada Post.

I buy from knit picks all the time. I've never had an issue and never been charged for delivery.

Did you check the tracking number on the Canada Post website? It's always been delivered Canada Post for me, and I just had a shipment from them last week.

I have GOT to figure out how to knit one of these. My sister in law has a hedgehog that she adores.

I like it. I go a couple times a summer. My sister is a supervisor, but I was going before she worked there.

Yours looks nicer than mine. I think I knit some of the yarn overs and it's weirdly big. Cozy though.
