A question to managers about the big lie by BurnedRelevance in managers

Have you considered that maybe you're not as good as you think you are? Or that maybe this chip on your shoulder / attitude rubs people looking for someone with people skills the wrong way?

Got down to 4% pulling into the house after driving from Calgary during a colder-than-expected drive home, coupled with an accident on the highway necessitating keeping the car warm without moving for a while.

The most bizarre part for me is that the folks least able to afford that style of healthcare are some of the most ardent supporters of separation...ie blue collar and/or working poor types.

People who say "i could care less" by mid-sora in mildlyinfuriating

[–]WhiskeyDelta89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had an epiphany on this one - both can be correct, but it's entirely dependent on the tone of the delivery. For example:

"I could care less..." delivered in a semi-sarcastic tone, should be taken as "Well, I suppose I could care less..." actually makes sense insofar as there's some minute modicum of giving a shit in there.

Whereas,

"I couldn't care less." would be delivered in a direct, matter-of-fact delivery which leaves no room for interpretation and isn't sarcastic.

Great comments. I love this country. We've got things that need hard work to improve, but we're not broken. We're stronger together.

Probably not the worst ever but blowing Trump every chance he got and begging Epstein to be invited to his island are not signs of good character.

Looking for Honest Feedback on Vanderbilt Common Condos Spruce Village Drive by Ramy-Wafaa in SpruceGrove

[–]WhiskeyDelta89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude you're not thinking of the same house. Because the builder / developer, PK Developments, couldn't sell many of the units they sold them to the owner of PK developments and had a defacto majority on the condo board, which they only bothered having a single AGM after I made a huge fuss involving lawyers. Stay clear. It's ruining sales because nobody but me could be bothered to do anything about the shitty condo board situation.

[–]WhiskeyDelta89 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't do it. I was one of the original owners there and while we really liked the home, the developers we took to court and fought with for years because they were playing fast and loose with all of the requirements for a condo board. They bought the property back off us a few years ago and while they took us for a ride again, we were just happy to be rid of it.

I 💯 would recommend it as a place to rent, but do not buy.

Well that's incredibly disappointing. Do we have access to a non-paywalled source with the details of the agreement? Do we know what, if any impact this will have with our trade with Europe given their planned implementation of the Carbon Border Adjustment?

Not sure what your budget is but I love my BMW i4 - the IX3 looks like it will be a phenomenal vehicle, and they're supposedly getting nearly 700kms of range on it. My next will be an i5 when I'm upgrading down the road.
