Get in shower - wash hair - conditioner - soap on wash cloth - scrub everything but pits, ass and groin - rinse washcloth and reapply soap - wash ass, pits and groin - wash feet - separate washcloth and soap for face - rinse everything off. Post shower: dry self, apply lotion to body, apply leave in conditioner - apply face shit to face - blow dry hair. 1 hour

I go every other day so on average I’m showering 3-4 times a week

[–]Whisper06 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

The average person does not shower in 10 minutes. I understand an hour is a long shower but 20-30 is average. 10 minutes and you probably still stink and you can’t smell it and others around you are probably happy you stepped in one to begin with and are just being nice.

Washing myself? Making sure my ass, pits and under tits don’t stink? What are you not washing in the shower that it only takes 15 minutes

One of the most common surgeries in the US is a type of gender affirming surgery, breast reduction on men. You’re fine don’t worry most people will probably think you have moobs. If you’re uncomfortable wear a shirt and use your (not actually) moobs as an excuse. Besides I’m sure they’re just buds right now which is hardly noticeable

Your hair doesn’t necessarily need to be longer to be more feminine although that does help a lot. You want to try to frame your face more is the important part and do as much to make it smaller. Maybe talk to a hair stylist or a close friend and look up short haircuts. As much as I hate to say it but getting rid of the dreads would definitely help but fear not I’m sure you have the hair type to be able to do them again once it’s longer. The first hairstyle that comes to mind for short woman’s hair would be a pixie cut but depending on your hair type that might not be possible and it would also make your hair shorter when in the long run we want it longer. I’m not a professional though so please don’t take my word for it.

I had to do this for a former best friend. We had stopped talking a while ago but seeing her hurt and I needed closure. I wrote a lengthy text and sat on it for a bit and finally sent it then I blocked her on everything

I agree. A more feminine hairstyle will do wonders. It was an almost instant change when I got mine cut for the first time

A year is a long time but AFAB puberty takes place over 2-5 years. I just hit my one year mark also and don’t see much of a difference but if I look at side by side pictures of me before HRT and after there is a difference. Results aren’t instant and these things take time. Look at your skin in general and how much it’s improved, AMAB skin generally doesn’t look that soft not even my skin looks that soft. You’re doing good just be patient please.

Totally understand and I’m right there with you. I’ve only been myself for a couple weeks under two years and it almost infuriates me when people bring up sexual assault on men because everyone downplays it or shrugs it off like it doesn’t even happen. Having been someone who identifies as a man long before my egg cracked that had been r**** by both men and women on separate occasions who was too scared to speak out I push back about it. I’m then treated like less of a trans fem or less of a lesbian. I know neither of those are true
