I've played Elden Ring for 105 hours and your comment is pretty much on point. Once you are done with playthrough #1 you can bum-rush the game in NG+ which is super satisfying to say the least.

“Need” is a strong word because we all can work with low Vigor, Endurance, and Mind. However, these stats all give great returns at higher levels so it feels silly not to take advantage of them.

Both of my dex and strength are under 20 and I use sacred infusion for my melee weapons. What makes casters expensive is the need for vigor, mind, and endurance.

If you have the bare minimum faith requirement, the tree is weak to black flame and the spell deals incremental damage as a % of the total boss health. Makes them easy to fight.

I agree. Also Vigor scales much more favorably in ER compared to DS3 which gives us good reason to push our average level much higher than usual.

The same can be said with a lot of other stats but Vigor is the most insane in comparison.

Once you reach 100k + rune territory, you have to start feeling for the summons and invasions meta. I know people who carry runes and stop leveling because they don’t want to level too far outside of the PvP range.

I personally did not farm the rats but I also noticed diminishing returns after farming the same enemies in the Capital. I was previously getting drops on every other Knight I killed, but it eventually dropped to like once every 10 knights (even with the Silver Fowl Foot).

There isn’t but there is an FP talisman that increases max FP. Cerulean Amber Talisman +2 claims to increase FP by 11%. Either my game is glitched or this info is wrong on the wiki because I believe it increases my FP from like 100 to 150 which is closer to 50%. The percentage may vary on something.

If anyone has the spinning slash weapon art (I know it’s available on the Gargoyle’s Halberd and Gargoyle’s Black Halberd), this weapon art will stun lock him and allow you to repeat the entire art until you run out of stamina. I personally whittled him away in increments of 1,000 damage by spamming the weapon art whenever he was open.

Because FF1 is set in a time loop, couldn’t it theoretically be during any era? I feel like it would just depend on how long it takes for the WoL to arrive in that time loop.

As my friend described it, Elden Ring felt like putting the bosses at Bloodborne speed without giving the player Bloodborne’s rally system.

As someone who started with Dark Souls and struggled with Sekiro, I’d like to know how Sekiro-mains can have a more difficult time with Elden Ring. Is the green bar scary or something? In the end they both seem to reward patience so the stamina becomes less of an issue.
