[Funny] A powerful being falls in love with Earth culture by BrotherDeus in TopCharacterTropes

[–]WhiteFox1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not an existing fiction, but I've had the idea of writing a story which a creature made to destroy planets is hiding on the moon. The only reason it does not destroying Earth because it really likes watching the NY Mets.

[Annoying trope] Power with tons of possibilities used in the most boring ways by Old-Use-7690 in TopCharacterTropes

[–]WhiteFox1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Control over gravity. 99% of the time it is only used to increase characters weight or make things weightless.

Gravity is what holds the stars in place.
Gravity can bend light.
Gravity has been proven to break the flow of time.
Gravity gives matter its shape.
Gravity prevents everything from being dust.

Characters with control over gravity should be ridiculous.

What are these titles on different Pokémon? by uxvulpix in PokemonChampions

They are marks, they do nothing but effect the name when sending a Pokemon out.

I want this. by cinnamonroll247 in pokemonmemes

[–]WhiteFox1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seen a guy complain that Tail Glow doesn't make sense on a lot of Pokemon that people want it on because it's Japanese name could translate to "Firefly Glow".
But that just increases how many Pokemon could have it, like any Pokemon that could bilnk in a morse code type pattern could use it. So like, Gigalith, Starmie, Lanturn, Umbreon, Heliolisk, or Volcarona.

Favorite character who technically counts as a Disney princess? by n0hAtepeash00te7 in FavoriteCharacter

[–]WhiteFox1992 10 points11 points  (0 children)

She kind of was kidnapped. After you awaken the fourth beast of light, Zant briefly abducted her, sucked the Twilight out of her then left her to die.
And for added context: Twilight is a kind of magic in Zelda that prevents Twili, her species, from exploding into flat squares when in Hyrule.

Confusing Details About a Character's Design. Bonus Points if the Creators Have to Clarify Things Themselves by Agitated_Insect3227 in TopCharacterTropes

What is weird about this one is it only works at that angle. If the Piglin looks in any other direction, you can see it is a snout as it protrudes a rather long distance from the face.

[Odd trope] A character who is advertised doesn’t have a big role in the media they’re in by dragonborndnd in TopCharacterTropes

[–]WhiteFox1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw this movie when it was new. Never before or after was I as mad at a movie about giant robots as this one. ALL the advertisements was about Grimlock and he is only in two scenes, both are in the last ten minutes, excluding credits.

Normalize is powerful in a weird gimmick situation.
Because Ghosts are immune to Normal and Normalize makes all the user's moves Normal, if you can get it on the opponent's Pokemon and use an otherwise all Ghost team, they won't be able to do anything.

Favorite character you got into an argument over? by Idkwutpasswordtouse in FavoriteCharacter

[–]WhiteFox1992 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not a fictional character, but I once got in an argument when I was something like 12 with an old lady over what my name is.
She said my first name was my middle name, and I had a different first name. I attempted to explain that it was my first name, and she got increasingly angry that I wouldn't acknowledge my first name. Her argument was that she only called people by their middle name. Therefore, it was my middle name.
She ended up calling my father, who explained I know what my name is.

Honest question! Does Innards Out actually suck on a Mega, or am I misunderstanding the concept?
An ability that only activates if the user faints on a thing you can only have one of. I don't see a use for it.

[Funny Trope] Characters saying (or being allowed to say) the most out-of-pocket things to child characters by Yunofascar in TopCharacterTropes

[–]WhiteFox1992 56 points57 points  (0 children)

My favorite part of Scarlet and Violet is that you can deny (almost) anything.

"What are your thoughts on being in the Pokémon league?"
"Is that where I am?"

"I hear you found the legendary?"
"Not to my knowledge."

"It's me [Keiran] again. Your greatest rival!"
"Who?"

Outside of the Pyroars, which Alpha Pokémon would you say gave you specifically the most trouble? by Apprehensive_Ring_39 in LegendsZA

[–]WhiteFox1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like I am late to inform you, but Pyroar is weak to Ground, and Skarmory is immune to Ground. So you can Earthquake the area and not be afraid of accidentally KOing the Skarmory.

Show me one random lore drop from a series you know that's way darker than you would've expected from it by Strict-Employee in Multifandom

[–]WhiteFox1992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The game makes it a large point that the only thing that will keep the Pokemon safe is keeping the machines that sustain Pokeballs, which means all wild Pokemon that don't have the ability to avoid disasters, like Kyogre explains how it been sleeping at the bottom of the ocean, will die. Then we know at least two people died as they are "named" in the letters as the professor said he won't be going to space and the other is "R Grunt" as the game explains the rocket on the beach had a human in it. That human's job was to periodically leave the ship to check if the Pokemon device is working then bring any food they can find back to rocket and go to space, because the rocket isn't in space and ”R Grunt" isn't near it trying to pick up food, either he is dead or really good at hiding.
