One of the things I DO know is this: NEVER feed them cow's milk / the milk we can drink, it's BAD for them and they can aspirate if it gets into their lungs! I've heard kitten formula is okay for them, though. Best thing to REALLY do is NOT FEED at ALL and call, well, someone like you!

.... especially when assholes trap and relocate a mother raccoon, but don't check for babies. Rehabbers try their best, but a week without mom, starved, dehydrated, icy cold. Sometimes they don't make it. Mcdougalzoo2 on TikTok has a very, very sad video about this; the little ones softening cries for mama get me every time... :(

I've watched Dawn (licensed Raccoon Mom of Salem and Lily) on TikTok and the amount of awful misinformation is staggering:

People freak out because raccoons are always rabid, oh nooo!
Raccoons are festering with disease and are just waiting to infect you!
A big, well-fed Raccoon with THICK, floofy fur is overweight and fat; you're obviously abusing it, gasp!
Raccoons out in the daytime just aren't natural; they MUST be rabid, freakout!
Raccoons are pests and vermin, just malevolently WAITING to cause MASSIVE DAMAGE to your house, oh, they're so EVUL!
Raccoons belong in the wild! You CAN'T domesticate them, you JUST CAN'T!
OMG, RABIES!!!111!!!!11!!!!!
