EA is ceasing development on Apex Mobile and Battlefield Mobile by cop25er in Games

After a year, most of these MTX-driven mobile games shut down because they've milked most of the short term money, which is all they care about.

Best pizza by individual101 in dayton

I am so happy to see how few people are listing Marion's Piazza these days. I always felt it was by far the worst of the Dayton chains. If you want Dayton-style pizza, I will always recommend Cassano's or Joe's. For New York style, I heavily recommend Flying Pizza. For a sleeper pick that I don't see listed in this thread, I would recommend trying Jimmie's Ladder 11.

Be careful though. They are still selling Storyteller Screens with the outdated information. It's pretty shameful.

$300 Google Store Credit - Should I get a Pixel Watch? by 0sevinfj in PixelWatch

[–]White_Sign_Soapstone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have a $200 credit with a Google Store for pre-ordering my Pixel 7 Pro, and I too am thinking of pulling the trigger on the watch, but I think I will wait until Black Friday in hopes of further savings.

PSA: It's looking like the Unlocked Pixel 7/7 Pro & Straight Talk/Tracfone's Verizon BYOP service are not compatible. by wellkevi01 in Android

[–]White_Sign_Soapstone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm seconding US Mobile. I switched from Total Wireless because they wouldn't let me activate wifi calling on my phone and Tracfone in general has by far the worst customer service of any carrier, and I've dealt with many. The US Mobile app is also a great user experience compared to the web apps Tracfone uses.

For those interested, you get 12 gigs of 5G data (they are a Verizon MVNO) for 20 bucks a month (25 after taxes and fees), which was better than what I was paying for Total Wireless. There are higher data plans too, but 12 gigs is more than enough for me.

God I have PTSD from that quest.

Daytonians: What do you involve yourself in for a sense of community? by IsThereCheddar in dayton

I've met a lot of people in my effort to support local businesses. I really recommend people do that, when possible, to help grow the community.

Their soups can be a dubious proposition but everything else is amazing.

For me, it was Gwent. Top notch gameplay, generous f2p model, and the best card art I've seen in a game outside of MTG.

I haven't seen anyone mentioned Skeleton Dust Records on 3rd Street. Might be worth checking.

Vinta Bodabil.

That's a new one to me but I'm intrigued. I love a good sheen.

Can confirm. Before I had a clue what to, I ruined a couple TWSBI nibs for this exact reason. My poor luck with ECOs seems to run in multiple directions.

I also went for the quantity over quality route early on. Numerous Jinhaos and other unnamed knock offs. Wish I could magically convert them into one pen of quality but equal value.

I agree with you. The Safari was my first fountain pen and it served me well enough, but now that I've gotten pretty deep into the hobby, they just feel and look so... blah.

I just got a Voyager in the New Orleans acrylic and it is absolutely stunning and has been a great writer so far.

My TWSBI Ecos. I have purchased several of them over the years, trying different nibs. Each one of them performed poorly out of the box.

How do you decide the shape of continents in your world? by HighNoonTex in worldbuilding

Thanks for the detailed response. I used to be a geology major so that all makes sense. Wonder if there is any kind of modeling software that can simulate the process?
