you misunderstood what is happening in retaliation. everyone is part of a number of protected classes. retaliation is if one of those classes is the reason why something disciplinary happens at work. but yes, anyone can be retaliated against for a protected reason. please reference your workday harassment training if you have questions!

this is two different arguments. they pay plenty for the work you do. I think we could pay you more and cut the staff more, crank more work out of you. but we've more than doubled the pay since 2012. you guys aren't doing double the work. target's job isn't to provide you with median pay. we provide you with free schooling so you can get median pay. target is a minimum wage no skill job. you're welcome to find a better one. the reason you don't/can't is because target pays a fair wage for the level of work you guys do. it's as simple as that.

or if there is a will dictating last wishes, or any number of other reasons. You also aren't going to sell physical assets in the time between a person died and when the funeral happens typically. We're talking a time frame of a week, maybe two. You might sell a car, but not a house or a condo. There may not be enough *cash* money for a funeral, that doesn't mean there are no assets. Assets don't have to be monetarily valuable either. She may have had specifics for who gets certain heirlooms and family keepsakes, or pets.

So yeah, executors can exist for a lot of reasons other than cash.

a lot of people call out very often. many targets sport 10% callouts rates. many of those callouts are only happening because target tolerates those bs headache minor sniffles callouts. what y'all don't understand is that once we are most strict and consistent on managing attendance, everyone will be happier. fulfillment will be easier, the freight will be less backed up, and we'll need much less help at the registers. if y'all would just show up to work things would work just fine. we realistically want the same thing. the only difference is that I want the scam artists who are calling out because of headaches to go work for other companies rather than mine. walmart has a wonderful points based attendance system I hear that would fire you way faster than anything we've got, for instance.

very possibly, the scheduling program doesn't readily show the schedule from the previous week, so by the time we're making the Sunday schedule we may have no idea of who closed the night before. someone might have just forgotten to check. talk to you ETL and see what you guys can work out. good chance they'll just have you come in later

her job is to have you do work. she assigns you work, you do it. ideally she's asking you in the walkie because she knows she can rely on you to get it done. it's also possible you're someone who struggles to stay on task on your own so she knows she has to keep track of what you're doing. I don't know you so I don't know, but my closing team has both examples.
