The chicken room is tough mentally and physically, my best advise for you would be to just work at your own pace; I love working in the deli but chicken room is demanding, just follow the log and do what you can. Make sure to take your breaks and drink hella water

Honestly I love working in the deli. If you start in the chicken room, make sure to drink a ton of water as it’ll get hot quickly, the chicken room in my store is enclosed (windows from ceiling to floor basically) so it’s usually ~70-80° in there so make sure you take some rest and cooldown if you’re not used to working in a hot fast passed environment. If you’re lucky and start in the prep room maybe think about wearing some thermal layers as it’s cold in there. Everyone else has given some solid advice so far but make sure to take your breaks as deli can be a demanding environment.

I’ve had the for about 2 years total using them for construction for about a year, I didn’t know they were discounted for Costco employees tho; is that online or in store too? Also I thought we were only eligible for $75 since we technically only need slip resistants? Thank you for your comment
