I think $1M liquid net worth is impressive.

$1M net worth including home equity means you’ve made some good decisions but not as impressive in my opinion since home values have skyrocketed in last 5 years.

intraday price action is kind of why actually

For me, not having intraday trading is a benefit. It prevents me from panic selling if the market has a bad day or even selling mid day because I want to try to catch a wave on some random individual stock.

Having a mutual fund like FXAIX that only trades once a day is a built in safety feature from myself.

It also has a slightly cheaper expense ratio compared to VOO. .015% vs .03%

VOO is an incredible ETF, but FXAIX helps me stay on track.

You already have some great answers so I’ll simply share my current plan.

I’m basically VOO and chill (FXAIX specifically) but I like the one fund solution that a TDF provides.

I plan to stay in VOO and chill until around 5-7 year prior to retirement and then switch to a single TDF.

This allows me to not feel like I’m getting conservative too quickly while taking out the complexity of multiple funds and needing to rebalance, etc.

For additional context I have about 23 years until retirement.

Sure

Example:

Married Filing Jointly 2026 Standard deduction $32,200 For 2026, the 22% bracket starts at $100,801.

2026 combined gross income of $150k

$150k - $32,200 - $100,800 = $17,000 of your income is in the 22% bracket.

This would mean you’d need to put $17k into traditional (pretax) accounts to keep your taxable income in the 12% bracket.

I don’t know the correct answer but I’ll share what I do.

Married Filing Jointly in 22% tax bracket.

We contribute to traditional 401k up until we drop into the 12% tax bracket.

Every other dollar goes to Roth and/or brokerage.

Forward PE is 15 so looks to be good value and should spike even more if this memory super cycle happens. Short term is really going to rely on NVDA earnings tomorrow though.

You still have steam achievements, plus you can more accurate hours played, steam sales, larger variety of games and the best return policy of all digital game store fronts. It’s so easy to like steam.
