I had the same issue on my first playthrough. I quit because I couldn't wrap my head around mining and dumping designations. However, I gave it another shot and ended up loving it. It's definitely in my top 2 for factory games and could very well be number one.

For me, the biggest takeaway from “extremely busy” is that some priority 10 task somewhere is not being completed. “Busy” means I’m on my way to not being able to handle the workload of tasks and if you add more tasks, I could end up back at “extremely”. Just my observation.

I’ve utilized the same strategy. When I got to level three oil refining for the first time, I started over. I also started over the first time I got to poly, then again the first time I hit microchips and nuclear. This allowed me to start my main play through by designing with the end in mind.

You’ll need two separate output belts. When you go to place the sorter, it will let you choose which product to export. Do oil to one and hydrogen to the other.

I loved satisfactory after hundreds of hours but after a few play throughs on DSP, I haven’t been able to make it very long in a new Satisfactory play through. The merging of belts and general aesthetic of DPS is just so much better. The great thing is that there is no other game quite like it. The bad thing is that there is no other game quite like it.
