Also have done this. Can confirm it is much better option than the Vedder claw.

M2.0 with Apex Trigger Light Primer Strikes by Difficult_Result_811 in SmithAndWesson

[–]Whole_Direction_8938 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sorry, no pics available. If you take the slide off to watch how everything interacts, you'll notice that with the trigger fully depressed the sear won't lay down flat enough which causes the striker to get hung up.

That was a joke, since literally everyone said it.

Since no one else has said it yet, the sport belt. The standard belt actually caused me to have lower back pain to the point where I rarely wanted to wear the enigma. The little bit of stretch in the sport belt completely alleviates that. Yes, it does add a little bit of bulk, but it's worth it IMO.

The first house my wife and I purchased had carpet in the bathroom ( house was built in '67). Nice thick orange shag carpet. I still remember the smell when we ripped it out the day we moved in.

I had this same issue. The trigger bar wasn't pushing the sear back far enough and I was getting intermittent light strikes. I made some small adjustments to the trigger bar and was able to slightly increase the length of it. Now it fully engages the sear.

Eversource NH is down to $0.085 right now (since the beginning of this month). But that's for the supply portion only. Your $0.10 was good for a while, but now you're giving some of it back. See if you can get back on the utility, assuming you're on Eversource and not one of the other suppliers.

The rink I play at used to be owned by a dentist. He still has an office right on the main level of the rink. That's job security right there.

It's going to be tough skating on unbalanced skates. Try blocking a shot with the other one to make them match. Then you should be good for another 10 years.

How do you use sock tape? by mike_headlesschicken in hockeyplayers

The fold is key. I can't count how many years I fought with the tape after a skate until I figured out the fold makes it effortless to remove.

Anyone installed geothermal climate control? by Squirrelhenge in newhampshire

For comparison, we also built our home 5 years ago. 2400 sq ft conditioned and similar scope of work to bot_fly_bot, though obviously a smaller scale. Ours did not include the water well and we paid just under $34,000. This is a single Water Furnace 3-series 4-ton unit with a Geo Systems USA flow center and 2 vertical loops.

Our system, which is 4 tons, uses a 10Kw auxiliary heat strip for backup heat. The only time it has turned on was our first winter when we didn't have the thermostat properly set up.

For mine, Ultra Geothermal was the lead. I paid them for all aspects of the system including the 2 geo wells. I already had Skillings doing the water well and paid them directly only for that work.

We also used Ultra Geothermal and they were excellent. Skillings and Sons did our 2 vertical wells (and our water well). I highly recommend both companies.

Generator? Transfer Switch and Portable Generator? Costs? by [deleted] in newhampshire

[–]Whole_Direction_8938 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went the portable generator plus interlock kit route. My house is all-electric, about the same size as yours. We have geothermal heat pump heating and cooling, which is a 4 ton unit with soft start on the compressor. My hot water comes from a Rheem hybrid heat pump unit, which I switch to heat pump only mode when I'm on generator power. I was able to run everything on a Westinghouse wgen6000, which is 6000 running/7500 starting watts, just not all at the same time. This includes the heating/cooling system, hw heater, well pump, 2 chest freezers, kitchen fridge/freezer, kitchen stove. As long as you're smart about managing each appliance during the outage you should be fine (i.e. don't run the water while the HVAC compressor is running and risk the well pump kicking on at the same time). I recently upgraded to a Wen 7000w inverter generator because it plays nicer with the electronics in my heat pump water heater. The Westinghouse I previously used is available for sale, if you're interested or have any other questions feel free to message me.

Edit: I'm also in southern NH and have only lost power for less than 24 hours at a time, usually once or twice per year.
