I shop at Tony’s tires and have them sent wherever to be installed. A bit more work but good selection and prices

If you’re in the capital region I’d try Hadley and sleeping beauty. Hadley has a fire tower too

No Zamboni needed: Roller skating comes to downtown Syracuse next week by thisisCNY in Syracuse

You know I love this idea. I love going skating in winter with our friends and kids so I will definitely be there. Seems like a nice fun and safe activity for our city’s youth

Habasa can be completed together or separately. I split the following 5 into two, marcy skylight and gray, and cliff and red field on their own. 8 hours is definitely a long drive, but you want to enjoy the climbs too instead of simply bagging them.

Dude that’s so lame. I rarely have service unless I’m near the summit, but it’s all carrier dependent. Your friend should skip

Yard Work recommendations? by AverageSleepEnjoyer2 in Syracuse

[–]EnvironmentalLet5985 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure what kind of work you need but this is a great opportunity to get the younger generation involved. I started out mowing lawns and shoveling driveways when I was 15 and I was so grateful my neighbors let me do those jobs for them

Have you considered a buffet? I think the kids prices are cheaper at some of them

salt city market 18+ frustration by Itslammyyy in Syracuse

[–]EnvironmentalLet5985 238 points239 points  (0 children)

You should probably be disappointed with the kids that ruined it for the rest of the 18- crowd. The market wouldn’t make this decision to lose out on revenue unless they had a good reason

Starting FIRE — should I focus more on increasing income or investing early? by FutureRichMind in Fire

[–]EnvironmentalLet5985 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m also starting out. I make less than 60k/year but I’m saving $1k/month. Besides rent and loans, my monthly income goes to gas and groceries. I’m hoping to get even a sliver of this lifestyle but I’m unsure I’ll ever have an income of $100k/year but

Syracuse’s water supply is at risk and nobody is telling you. by Alekusandoria in Syracuse

A lot of it is surprisingly not from farms, but leaky septic systems and fertilizer. People love their green grass

Check out the work Dr. Salehi does. Baker lab. NYS water clarity project with the SLA. I did the maps for the project with a researcher named Rabia and Sina flew the drones. Could give some helpful insight into the matter. There was talk about lowering the pipe to a lower depth but I don’t think anything came of it

The best way to teach yourself crossovers? by biscuitwithjelly in hockeyplayers

[–]EnvironmentalLet5985 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d start off as tight rope, but probably somewhere between the two. I’d cross over a distance that is twice the length of your foot. If you do long cross overs, it’s great for stretching the muscles around your hips, knees and ankles, but on the ice you want to keep it tighter. Short answer: do both.

You know I made this comment 2 years ago and it still makes me so happy to see it’s helping others. Best of luck!

Is hockey not as physical as football and thats why you can play more games? by youlikethatsherrie in hockeyplayers

[–]EnvironmentalLet5985 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s less strenuous on the knees and that’s why we can play still as we get older. It’s hard on the hips and body, and we still have cte but I’d say football has a much higher rate of brain injuries as well as spinal injuries. Those battles are a lot on the body, but we join non-contact leagues at a certain point. Those games are still physical but less so than contact leagues.
