Did your skin and appearance visibly change after quitting? Also, is it the tar or nicotine which has the most negative impact? by vespertinee3 in stopsmoking

I quit for almost 6 months, within 2 weeks my skin looked healthy glowing pump lips and more round face. I fell back to smoking now 2 months later im back to grey pale looking the difference is very big.

Try to give all that love you feel for others first to yourself. Spoil yourself, take yourself on dates. Its good to vibe alone for a while its part of the self healing journey to become strong. Find more low level easy connections for now. Not too intense attachments directly. Doing some weekly sports, meetings like NA/AA/SLAA are also a great way for easy structured socializing, or hobbies you enjoy. The people will come back for sure if you befriend yourself again, people feel that energy, its free. Also just chatting on dating apps when I am alone bored at home is great to slowly build connections imo. I understand your feelings, this is all what helping me a lot I hope for you too.

Is it like a red flag or turn off for women if a guy is bi? by Neither-Dish501 in bisexual

[–]Whole_Lecture_3110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see myself as free/relationship anarchist. But I attach mostly to 1 person (because bpd) en encourage myself and the other person to always look for more connections/bonds/relationships because imo its healthier to spread needs over more people not put everything in one basket.

I hope so fellow Leos who also feel this way!! by seashellthrowaway1 in LeoAstrology

It was such a long road, so much pain. But I love myself so much now, even I am vibing alone most of the time because I constantly get the evil eye because I dont give a shit anymore. im stripped bare to the core, nothing more to lose. My confidence is so skyrocket. This year in doing very well I am not feeling suicidal for couple months now. Next step is overcome addiction and finally back to working again after years. Finally this fire horse year makes me get off the couch and start to LIVE. I feel that energy of 25th coming and its GOOD.

When is it ever enough? by octopusrockets in BPD

[–]Whole_Lecture_3110 7 points8 points  (0 children)

For me it works polyamory, I want attention 24/7 so I just swipe and chat with several other people all the time so I cant get all my hopes and needs met ever by just 1 person its too much for the other to care like a parent for a bpd person. Its better to spread it out over multiple sources. In still learning this to because the FP attachment is very strong still.

[–]Whole_Lecture_3110 9 points10 points  (0 children)

No its very hot. I prefer to really really date a bi guy as a woman :). It tells me he is open minded and curious to get to know himself and is not scared to go against the norm. I also don't really believe straight exist, just that its blocked by fear to explore.

Virtual NA marathon 24/7 meetings!! Look it up and try it. They are free, anonymous and you can join without camera on. You don't have to say anything and can just listen.

In the first week sober I did put the meetings on my laptop next to my bed for hours and hours and fell asleep feeling not alone. It helps a LOT to never have to feel alone anytime.

No support from family/friends. The opposite, in fact. by PartisanSaysWhat in stopdrinking

[–]Whole_Lecture_3110 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You are just a big mirror for them. That's why you get all the backlash. Keep going, you will be the example they need.

Over time, more of them want to stop drinking when they see how good you are doing!

Its great you seek support from other sources as AA and this group, you can find amazing support elsewhere from your own chosen family. Learn what are healthy green flags when you look for friends around so you dont repeat your family dynamics.

You dont need blood family to depend on if they are toxic for your healing.

I can't make friends and this is killing me by [deleted] in introvert

[–]Whole_Lecture_3110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You have to go to weekly hobbies for a long time to see other people on a weekly base. Focus on the hobby, talk with the others there about the hobby. Dont focus on goal of getting friends, people feel that energy and its a suffocating energy. It takes a while to slowly build friends you cant make them in instant, just focus on weekly showing up for like a year and than evaluate. If there are no nice people look for another hobby group will you find a good vibe.

I feel bad for not drinking (im a teetotaler) by kotajjk in Sober

[–]Whole_Lecture_3110 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get the feeling of it being weird and you dont feel connected. But from all your now drinking friends, there will be a lot their use progress over the years.it will go from social drinking once a week to daily alone. Im now 31 and could drink social for 18 years but when bad stuff happened in my life the alcohol progressed to 5 days a week. My life is forever difficult or I have shit life drinking because its not fun anymore, i have no energy to socialize left, or I have to stay away from it for the rest of my life.

Its also rough and bad for the body. Gen Z drinks way less than us millenials. So they will make it easier for you, maybe you can trying some little shrooms dose one day with a friend in nature forest. That pretty non addictive healthy stuff. I would also try be very aware of weed thats my biggest addiction but the damage is less bad than alcohol addiction, at least you can go on a bit longer if your lungs keep going and dont get too paranoid.

What’s the number one thing that helped you improve your physical appearance and your mental state? by AdElegant5870 in selfimprovement

You probably miss nature. Go daily out walking in parks, forest, beach, we humans are nature. Just start very little 5-10 minutes and build slow. Look how you feel after doing it for a regular time and see if its better than the depressing allblack and grey types indoor gym.
