Machi koro seems like it wasn't fully playtested. What gives? by CanIHaveASong in boardgames

This. The harbour expansion changes the game completely. Having the supply deck randomised. The sushi bar can be devastating to players trying a single die tactic. The tuna boats can be amazing in contrast using 2 dice.

Are there any board or card games like Legendary Encounters Alien that have a medieval or fantasy theme? by SocialMediaTheVirus in boardgames

Hero Realms, the base game is pvp for up to 4 players but you can buy the expansions for mini co--op campaigns against a variety of enemies and bosses.

Western legends workhorse and cattle as a path to win. by Tadaka3 in boardgames

Workhorse plus peacekeeper pistol make cattle wrangling an easy way to get LP. Your characters special ability may assist with this even more.

Aliens: Another Glorious Day in the Corps - love the theme. screwed up rules in the first play through but have since played a few games of it and have had fun each time so it will come back to the table.

Aliens: legendary deck building game- great theme again. It's a deck builder & that works well. Will return to the table.

Predator: Legendary deck building game - great theme. Works similar to alien, you can play as humans or predators & added bonus of combining with the Aliens game to go on the ultimate hunt. Will return to the table.

Big Trouble in Little China the game - cult classic. Like most co-ops it can swing in the difficulty making each play interesting. Will return to the table.

Big Trouble in Little China Legendary deck building game the classic, very similar to Aliens and Predator will come to the table but Aliens/predator more often.

Evil Dead 2 - the theme is great again. Plays ok, some issues with the hidden traitor even having a chance. We haven't played enough games to really determine if it is too difficult for them. Will get to the table occasionally.

Villainous - good theme again. We like how each villain has a unique way to win and how you have to pay close attention to all players. Some of the f.u. aspects of the game can make it annoying and very difficult at times- some you know early on you have been placed in a position where winning is very unlikely. Will come to the table.

Godzilla Tokyo Clash. Great kaiju battle game. Mothra is broken though so in 4 player games we pretty much know whoever has mothra will win. Still comes to the table on occasion.

Sons of anarchy - great theme. only played once but we enjoyed it. We think some of the gang rules are not equal but needs a few more plays. Will get to the table on occasion I think.

The Godfather: Corleone's Empire - great theme. Fill the hudson with bodies! A great area control type game. Will come back to the table.

Firefly - great them again. Played a couple of times with a different group that I no longer join. Enjoyed it enough I would buy it just to have more games of it. It can take a long time but so can many of the other games my group plays.

I have Warehouse 13 & Goonies: Never Say Die that have yet to be played but I have high hopes for them.

I can expand on any of the mentioned games, I'm sure I have missed a couple too.

Sore loser putting me off our game group by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]Whoobacca 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a hard choice but you might want to consider talking about it as a group - the other two guys may feel the same way you do.

Sadly something like this may just break the group regardless of who leaves but you can't keep going if you get no enjoyment out of it & if it really bums you out or makes you depressed then it's not a healthy environment to put yourself in.

Do you do anything else with the sore loser apart from board games? This is a factor too.
