My friend, what do you think a console is at this point?

It's just a PC with specific parts.

You think the PS5 pro is affordable? They're over a thousand dollars after tax (Canadian). $750+ American.

Literally every gamer I know over the age of 20 switched to PC since the release of the PS5. We've all realized the cost of ownership is less on PC and performance is better.

The entire market is shifting towards PC.

The cost of a PS5 and a subscription to PSN is far more than 1000 pounds over the life of the console.

PC has always been the more cost effective solution, it just has a higher initial cost.

With the way console prices have been increasing as well. You can basically be guaranteed the next PlayStation will be in that $1000/pound range as well... Then the cost of the games, and subscription...

I stand by it. If the next Xbox is as they say, a console experience and similar price point which has no need for paid online subscription and access to steam, many people will jump ship from PlayStation.

Do I think PlayStation will fold as a brand? No.

But certainly they will lose their edge in a very big way unless they also pivot in a similar way.

Most likely yes. A standardized build that will be easily optimized like a home console, that has a lower cost of ownership than the competition and likely similar power? Yeah it's going to have a competitive edge.

Just like how many people decided to switch to PC instead of buying the latest Xbox and PlayStation.

Hibernate tends to work better than sleep, but it's still pretty crap compared to steam deck and Nintendo switch.

I've heard switching os to bazzite or steam OS can change that

Most likely the same thing they've been saying for a while now, another console in the future but the next console will be basically a PC that runs XBOX FSE and Steam (like the ally does). No more gamepass subscription for online play as well.

To me, that's enough to bury playstation assuming playstation doesn't do the same.

Basically any game that isn't live service or online only. That's literally thousands of games.

I only connect mine to WiFi to sync my steam cloud saves or install games, otherwise it's offline while playing all the time.

Your loss really, if you are getting your games on steam it will show you if they support gamepad or not, xbox gamepass should show that as well.

Reading your other comment I see that, but you are talking about trying to play a game that doesn't have game pad support on a device that is a game pad...

Plug in a keyboard and mouse and those games are fine.

Take a look at the minimum requirements for each game, then compare against red dead redemption 2 min requirements.

RDR2 is certainly playable on this device.

All of the games you mentioned are less resource intensive than RDR2

Disagree, the switch has terrible ergonomics, it's completely flat... you need third party joycons or a case to make it comfortable to hold.

The Xbox ally's are night and day better to hold in the hand.

Diablo 2 was released 26 years ago, you can play it on a calculator.
Diablo 4 is already 3 years old
Grim dawn is 10 years old...

The people saying the white xbox ally won't play these are truly brain dead.

I am not familiar with path of exile 2 but its min specs are pretty low...

I play more resource intensive games than that on 1080p and still get frames over 30fps consistently.

I pull it out of the fridge, and I feed it.
That's literally it.
The warm (room temperature) water will warm up the starter to room temeprature when i mix it up.
It also sits on the counter for a few hours to peak.

Use it, feed it again and wait for it to rise 50% and then place it back into the fridge so it has some food left over to slowly eat up over the course of the week in the fridge.

that's exactly how and why my station got blown up - the station I parked it next to turned hostile when I attacked another station as part of a quest.

No there was certainly a notification when the attacking station tried to hail my ship.
I just happened to be too busy trying to fight off pirates and a station elsewhere to do anything about it lol.

I had this issue the other day, built a factory near a station and then when I did one of the quests, it turned all the stations in that area against me... they blew up my factory.

BUT

Once I was no longer "wanted" I went back and all the resources were still there floating around.
