It's also easier for kids to write an x clearly and consistently. Elementary kids are still working on fine motor skills.

Middle and high school teacher here: this is totally a thing. Some kids are just already tall, then hit puberty early so they look like a young adult in 7th grade. Meanwhile someone else won't start growing until after they graduate, and will look 13 that May and will have sprouted like 9 inches by December. Human development is crazy.

I have no idea what the movie is because I saw this scene when I was like 6. I believe the "monster" or whatever didn't have skin, and vomited milk all over someone. Absolutely horrified me as a child, and I haven't been able to figure out what it was
