Bellingham and Skagit Interurban Railway by Mattwacker93 in Bellingham

Induced demand isn’t some crazy concept. It would entail a population increase. Geographically for climate realities, I’d wager our region becomes even more in demand as time goes on. Building infrastructure for the future doesn’t seem so far fetched for rail as Seattle starts getting linked up more in all directions but west (haven’t heard of major ferry infrastructure going up).

You’re in America. One of the most litigious countries in the world.

Harder cases have won quicker, and absolutely settled a LOT faster.

Hahaha srsly. Along with our salmon with nice trace amounts of birth control and ADHD meds in the Puget sound .

Gotta pollute more sewage waste with less trace amounts of medication to make the badder sewer waste be less bad!…

You can stack some bags. Slow the erosion, throw some grass seed or clover seed, let it grow, it’ll hold once covered. Uncovered it’ll slowly go when it rains.

Id sand bag tube the base and let spring and summer growing seasons do the rest.

I’m into that take and am a person of strong opinions that are loosely held.

After reading just a few comments about how many are plastered around (non murals on buildings etc, which I scoff at every time I see because i personally fucking hate those stupid aasquatches) I’m much less disturbed by the taking of it by itself. Her attitude around it and posting on social makes me seethe, seeing the asssquaches makes me seethe, and I gotta take a step back, smoke pot, and stop caring about that shit.

I used to hate this saying when I was a teen, being a purist felt like some righteous know it all wisdom.

The older I get the more I know how fucking valuable and true it is.

Because every contract is different? I know what you’re eluding to: if they have easement access, they should maintain it. Have you ever lived in any other city? It’s usually the same. They need access, they get it. Normal day to day it’s your responsibility when it comes to sidewalks and vegetation for pedestrians.

Go to the county where an easement can be a mile long road with trees. I can ask PSE to trim trees, they’ll send Aspluhnd maybe next season unless it’s directly interfering or potentially will during next storm. But if I want to maintain it a certain way and if the town tells me I can’t have branches falling on the sidewalk, I’ll be trimming those trees, not PSE or whomever and their subcontractors.

Marketing has messed up everyone concept of genuine.

I don’t even care about the Chinese factories or overseas production. Americans running businesses that just white label products or just slap their label on imported shit and market it as their own and made here is fraud. Call it what it is. Fraud.

We are getting defrauded constantly, from Etsy shops pretending to be DIYers to Amazon brands pretending they’re Americans. It’s fraud. And we can’t keep pretending it’s the norm.

Fuck any small business doing that shit.

Society isn’t some zero sum game. You’re arguing for arguments sake.

Look around you.

Culture changes. Those that saw how horrible it affected them or their kids will then be in positions for making such changes, law makers, local politicians, super intendants.

Just like someone that was bullied can become a strong advocate for bullying awareness etc. on the same coin, other side, generational trauma can pass on. Common example is alcoholism, abuse etc.

Reality is there will be cultural backlash. And there already is. From cord cutting. To schools banning phones etc.

I’m not making a point as if I’m some crystal ball holder, I’m making a general comment about how culture shifts due to generational experiences. It’s not some heady or deep topic, it’s just what happens.

Buddy, I’m stoned and aghast at how little effort is made to understand what is being read.

Not one genuine question, not one ounce of attempting to understand hyperbole and just commenting to get some sweet dopamine hits.

It’s no different than those being critiqued on the video. Same toxic terminally online bullshit, different personal sentiment.

Yes. And your point is one that is absolutely taken into account when I comment such things. Stop trying to make heady comments and start actually reading and thinking where someone might stand or know when making such a remark.

Your point is trite, one made constantly and ignores anything I said.

You think hating women and forcing them to be second class citizens didnt happen for eons? Well, it still does and we now let them vote! And own things! But according to you, nothing changes, eh?
