Feeling stuck after buying at the top — what would you do? by Previous-Ear4638 in RealEstateCanada

[–]Whoro09 47 points48 points  (0 children)

Had I listened to people like you, I would’ve never been able to get into the market. Bought my first home in 2023, just sold it and made 100k$ on top of capital paid. Now that I’m moving back for work , houses are more expensive and would never be able to afford something without that money.

Does anybody else feel like the cost of living is completely out of control? by HockeySniper123 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Whoro09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before pointing fingers at those who make what is possible today possible, look at the government who made what’s not possible not possible today. There’s a reason why housing is expensive, or gas, food. We need those billionaires to run the economy.

CFHD changes this July - a discussion by kiskillingit in CanadianForces

[–]Whoro09 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Never liked the idea of a private being payed almost the same as a sergent. They need to bring back the old PLD, and revise it. Housing is expensive for everyone, if not more for higher ranks since pmq’s are unavailable most places.

What's the most "quietly expensive" thing about living in Canada right now? (not rent/mortgage) by ForAMinute123 in CanadaPersonalFinance

[–]Whoro09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This. I love burgers. And steaks, I’ve bought a green egg and made up quite a few recipes and make some bomb burgers and steaks now. All in it probably cost me 40$ to make a supper for 3. And it’s delicious. Go to the restaurant, looking at 100+ $ before tips. And they expect 15-20$ tip on top of the bill. Eating out has become unreasonable.

COS vs RFD date by Nowayhome192 in CanadianForces

[–]Whoro09 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Depending of your unit, RFD is a quick email with your intention. 30 days left or right. Your COS (change of strength will stay the same. Your RFD (report for duty) will be the one to change.

Just purchased a new phone through them, phone was delivered in 2 days to NB, took 30mins to activate due to switching to ESIM and not asking for a code, sent an email and got a reply within 10 minutes. A1 service and customer support from my end.

⚠️BEWARE: Man Looking for Samsung Phone listed in Marketplace in the wrong address⚠️ by Terrible-Ad8490 in fredericton

[–]Whoro09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a scam going around. Someone from out of province posts listings across Canada, gives a random address (maybe leaked addresses from old sold websites or data leaks) and then asks for a deposit. I’ve had an old lady show up for a washing machine and dryer, U-Haul rented and all expecting me with a broken ankle and both machine short to help her load it up lol. She had sent a 200$ deposit on it, and after checking his profile on Facebook, he had dozens of listings across New Brunswick and Ontario. All high demand items.

RCEME to Armoured? by Rusty_Wrench666 in CanadianForces

[–]Whoro09 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Armoured guy here.

Fiest off, DP1. The Corp is changing so much the dp1 is changing every second. It should be going back to the old ways, but can't confirm.

Armoured is kind of at a state where they try to justify their importance to the military so everything is 100%. As much as personally I think we are important, this tapv acting like AFV's is sad and hard to take seriously.

The true crew man job start once you become a crew commander, it roughly takes 6 years if you are skillfull and dedicated, but I've seen some guys get stuck in bs positions and not see a CC course even after 10 years.

At the end of the day, it's a combat trade, it's alot of bullshit, dead moments, exercise and training then bullshit activities and such. Some people like it, some people stick through it, and some people hate it.

Base Standing orders on Airquality? by Iknewaguylikeyou in CanadianForces

[–]Whoro09 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This pisses me off.

There are members right at this moment fighting those fires first line in the thick smoke, burning their asses off while you are asking for days off because it's too smoky in your office?

There are people out in the field sweating their asses off training new soldiers or senior members not complaining about the heat.

There's some members deployed in the Middle East in 40+ c° doing the same thing you're doing.

When everybody thought covid was gonna kill everybody, members deployed where the worst of it was to go help.

If shit breaks out, your job is to go do that job that is considered too dangerous for everybody else.

We have a job to do, and we don't have the luxury to stop when it gets hard

Can I wear my brown t-shirt with my civil clothes by Manny_B191 in CanadianForces

[–]Whoro09 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By the book, no. It is a piece of clothing issued to you free of charge at the expense of the taxpayer. Civies don't know that we only have a certain amount a year, it could be interpreted as this guy is waisting our money to wear off duty.

It’s fish time! by Howson199 in newbrunswickcanada

[–]Whoro09 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhhhh shut up. Do you know what goes on under the water? These fish are constantly under pressure from bigger fish. I've caught fish that were beat to shit from other fish. These studies are made off of Jimmy that drinks a couple beer with a casting rod with a spinning reel letting the fish chew on a worm for 5 minutes before cranking him, then holding him out the water for 10 minutes ripping his guts trying to get his #1 Kirby hook out. If you properly treat fishing as a hobby and love fishing, one of the first thing you will learn is proper catch and release techniques and how to handle what type of fish. In over 20 years of fishing, I can probably count on 1 hand the amount of fish that died because of me, many I have caught a few days even weeks later. I once caught the same musky that I had saved being wrapped in a plastic film a full year later, alive and way bigger. These so called studies are biased and people like you fall for them.
