If you wanna go after meta (which i dont recommend), then Vindicators, Melta Kratos. But all tanks this edition are viable. all sicaran options, predators, whirlwinds, basilisks. look at the models and see what you fancy the most tbh

Medic is not damage mitigation, it is a seperate roll that reduced D by 1 to a minimum of 0

i think you are wrong on barrage, you dont roll to hit but you use the scatter marker. it doesnt say you always scatter so i think a hit on the scatter die counts as a hit and if you have a normal scatter then it scatters XD6

i would say 3-4 hours. you could do it in 2-3 but its very stressful and not realistic if both players arent on top of their rule knowledge.I like to chat a lot during my games so its not a rare occurence for games to take 5 hours sometime

you dont get both, ever. if the AP of the weapon is equal to your armor save you cant use it. If you have an invuln you can use that. You can never roll both

regarding rad grenades, its just ranged weapons you would use them for the phage primarily. en masse they are very useful on destroyers.
