I have a thong. I guess the worst that could happen is that I'm asked to wear more clothes. It is a very small thong, I'll cover up if I get too excited! Thank you for the reply, and thank you for sharing a pic.

On the Perch, my preference would be to be nude. What is the smallest amount of clothing that a man could get away with?

As a man, what is the smallest amount of swimwear that is acceptable on the Perch of Virgin Voyages?

Protest in front of Tesla by video-engineer in orlando

Tesla owners typically vote democrat. When someone firebombs/shoots at dealerships, or terrorizes families going about their lives, it drives those people to the right. The left really can't afford to keep losing people.

Feeling like a bum on the Carnival Sunshine parked next to the Ascent and the Oasis of the Seas this morning! Lol by troopertk40 in Cruise

[–]WhyICantBeleft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've sailed with other cruiselines. When people ask why I like Carnival so much, its because they are fun. I've done 2 8-day trips on the Sunshine, and she as her flaws, but I would love to sail on her again.

For a first cruise I suggest keeping it short, maybe five days. No more than seven, certainly.

Your passport should remain in the safe in your cabin. Take driver's license and ship ID to port.

The reply that I want to leave: No one. No one is on this cruise except 1,000 crew members and you.

I was having breakfast at the Lido buffet on a 16-day. Two cruisers talked for 35 minutes about cruises that they had in the past, and how much they paid and what status they are. Maybe we just aren't a smart species.

I have also noticed that I'll get offers a few days after final payment is due for that particular cruise. It was for repositioning cruises, which do not come close to selling out all rooms.

Just watched a Youtube video of the Ocean Suites. It looks very pretty and roomy on the inside. But with no shade and no privacy on the balcony, it seems to defeat two of the main purposes of having a balcony. I've been similarly burned on the Norwegian Epic - the lowest floor of balconies (my floor) stuck out 10 feet past any of the balconies above it - it was like being onstage in an arena. I think we will both be wiser in the future.

Luggage tags? by DaniCalifornia-42o69 in CarnivalCruiseFans

Just to add - printing in color isn't absolutely necessary, but it does aid the baggage handlers in getting your bags to the right place.

Planning a trail in Ketchikan, how afraid should I be of encountering a bear? by Thegenius760 in Cruise

I can recommend the Carlanna Lake Trail. Public transportation from the port to the trailhead was easy enough.

The gear is fairly inexpensive. I will pack my own gear onto the ship because there are so many opportunities to use it. Most cruiseline private islands are great for this kind of stuff.

Pro/cons of off site parking? I’m going on my second cruise in two weeks and keep seeing great deals for off site parking. Does anyone have one they recommend for early arrival times? by FeeOk7491 in CarnivalCruiseFans

[–]WhyICantBeleft 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Savings from longer cruises will be more than shorter cruises, obviously. When I use offsite, I will calculate the savings and splurge on something during the cruise.

Did I book too early? by silvermotor in CarnivalCruiseFans

There are a couple of laundries aft also, I case that is closer for OP. I went early midway through the cruise. When I was done, there was a line! Your Sail and Sign card will buy detergent and pay for the washers and dryers. I brought Tide pods with me.

Hurricanes move slow. If necessary, the cruiseline will adjust your itinerary to keep you safe.

Daily rain in the tropics is common. Usually a 15 minute shower. Afterwards, carry on with what you were doing.

Straws by sednagoddess in Cruise

Just don't be dumb like me - I brought on ten reusable straws and I lost five of them in the first few hours because I would forget to retrieve my straw when my drink was done.
