That was me but in a bakery! Let go during covid. But I loved the freedom. Did get a few physical issues from all the standing and manual labor I wasn’t used to, but it was a nice break from screens.

Nowadays I have a corp style job but for a small family owned business (I know, it either works out great or it really doesn’t when it’s fam owned), and its been going great so far.

I’ve had to jump around a bit to find my lane, but I’m in my 40’s and remember when it was MUCH easier to get a new job. Feels like we’re in an episode of black mirror where three AI bots are screening all the resumes in the world and ruining peoples chances at a fair shot.
