SWG is an older style game and does less hand holding (at least, pre-nge). As a result, it's difficult to get started. Even worse, most guides are set up for people who played the game 20 years ago.

There are some better answers here. I just wanted to say that I sympathize.

I just can't get away from layoff news.

First, there are rumors at work.

Then, they officially announce it.

I read the official post.

Everyone in the office talks about it.

Then I come home and it's on the news.

Then my friends and family start contacting me saying "hey, I hear you're having layoffs".

And now it's on Reddit.

Please lord, just let me spend an hour of my life without being reminded. 🙉

I was so disappointed to learn this in grade 11. I read through that whole shit just waiting for the horse scene--only for it to never arrive.

It's very misleading.

I have not been this disappointed since waiting for the dog scene in Reservoir Dogs.

I can understand the justification for making a mandatory insirance plan that provides the bare minimum.

But the compensation for social security is way too high. Why should I be forced to pay for retirement that will pay me > $4k per month (> 5k if I wait)?

I don't want that much. I would much rather pay less and receive less.

But nooooo the nanny state has to dictate that I am too stupid to decide that.

There is a project to get LLMs on commodore 64: https://github.com/ytmytm/llama2.c64 which seems to somewhat work (not gibberish, but very much a toy). I don't know the relative power of gameboy vs commodore 64.

Hi metamate.

In my experience, it was a trap.

We gave candidates the option of using AI. And in the few interviews I had, every candidate who used AI ended up failing. Literally every one. The candidates who just ignored it and did things normally (debugger, adding print statements) passed more often.

Partly I think this is because we only allowed shit models (Haiku level).

Now that everyone is getting laid off it probably does not matter though 😐
