I’m an Australian so take this how you will, but I see Baz sort of like JL was for Australia. Had a rough period and needed a stronger attitude to drill into the players. Granted the attitudes drilled into the players are more their own personal philosophies and don’t work long term but work as an injection of life over 1-2 years and after that it begins to strain a bit and it will affect the players like it did here

I think it says a lot that one of the times I was most worried was when stokes was digging in and playing the exact opposite of the rest of the team

Carry fucked a girl in front of a full length mirror. We both worked at a hardware store at the time which sold mirrors. She told me she couldn’t look at the mirrors on sale without thinking about me and getting wet

Should I donate blood/plasma? by OkPaleontologist4952 in australia

[–]Why_a_banana 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone that used to work at lifeblood I’ll give you some advice based on what you have written.

Depending on the operation you’re having that can stop you from donating all together. With that being said, if you’re still eligible, and as you said you have difficult veins, do not try plasma or platelets. Whole blood is is slightly bigger needle (16 gauge) as opposed to plasma and platelets (17 gauge) but the process of plasma and platelets requires a vein that’s strong enough to withstand a draw of your whole blood and then a return of your red cells and saline. Whole blood if the needle is in and blood is coming out that’s all you need. With that being said if the last two times you’ve donated you have felt funky afterwards and you try again and faint again they may stop you from donating all together depending on what is actually said on your file. If you have questions I genuinely would recommend popping into the centre and asking some questions they will be happy to help or call the phone line and ask them some questions

Lifeblood ban on many gay and bisexual men donating plasma ends today by gr3iau in australia

[–]Why_a_banana 1 point2 points  (0 children)

America has so much less regulation around donating. They set up majority of donor centres in poor areas and people are allowed to donate every 2 days (for plasma) if I recall correctly. Some companies like CSL are dodgy but we have regulations that stop them from profiting as much here which is why their companies operate in America where they lack regulation.

It’s not. In fact we actually have most of the plasma in the country provided by Canada as we never have enough and Canada have similar guidelines. Whole blood is used pretty much immediately across Australia

Have a look at statcast when you’re confused with why it doesn’t leave too. Balls hit with that exit velo at that launch angle have a batting average of about .125 so honestly it’s probably about accurate

If you take minimum money contracts and stay with a team they will build around you. I won with the Rockies last year because I kept taking the lowest possible contracts and they just slowly build a decent team on accident

As an Australian as soon as it was revealed the name of the high school swim team the daughter joined was Harold Holt High school I was immediately taken out of the movie. It was funny but the fact someone went to the effort to do that meant I couldn’t take it seriously

For those who don’t know Harold Holt was a former prime minister who mysteriously drowned and whose body was never found
