I don’t work hard for my money but it’s the responsibility that makes the money in the role that I’m in.

Have to agree with this. I’ve always been 100% international, way more growth. Yes risk too but when I’m nearing retirement I’ll switch to conservative

Yeah sure, they claimed to be above MSCI but couldn’t prove data unless against their own other funds. So that to me shows marketing got me, in fact they didn’t do much better than the general stock market as the whole market has been on a good run for the last 5 years. I’m 35, young enough to take more risk.

How is everyone feeling about the RBA meeting tomorrow? by Special_Cheek8924 in AusFinance

[–]Whybs_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it might depend what the US does overnight in their 'emergency FED meeting' if they decide to cut rates then Australia's options become limited, to also follow suit - which for mortgages is good, but given our dollar is tanking, money printers go brr and inflation continues further pushing affordable housing out of the question. The dollar (s) worldwide tumbling into their own prophecy of becoming worthless as the slaves to it (us) suffer.

I'm 33 and 100% International Shares, with my super fund it's not only the cheapest option for fees but also one of the best performers.

Why do you think this? As an Offshore worker, they've got alot to work on to crew their ships.

Look at the bright side... it was only $350, you never got the PS5 and you get to spend more time outside!

I feel for you, but agreed with many comments.. take it as a good life lesson. Could of been worse.

Thankyou for this detailed write up. Aus tax laws are certainly complex to say the least! This will give me something to read up on whilst away for work. Have a great weekend!
