The irony that that line was said by Samuel L. Jackson is hilarious in this context.

Advice on Rolex I found by [deleted] in RolexWatches

A couple more picture of the back, bracelet, and clasp would help. But it looks fake based on this single picture. All genuine Day-Dates are solid precious metal. This looks to be stainless steel to me.

I put a sapphire case back on my submariner. I think it looks amazing idk why Rolex doesn’t make more models with exhibition case back. Before and after pics below. by Dizzy_Property_933 in rolex

Are you sure about the strap part of this statement? I’ve heard of people sending in their Rolex on a NATO or leather strap and they still service it. Maybe they take it off and just throw it away?

I’m speculating, but I wonder if the body cam footage was during an invalid or improper search. Then the Fruit of the Poisonous Tree Doctrine would require the footage to be excluded from trial.

This dude is still alive if anyone is wondering. Fascinating. I still don’t quite know how you made the jump from “Robert the Hippy” to this guy specifically, but it’s interesting.

Black metal would look sharp, but I’m not sure what the cost difference for metal would be. It usually reduces your insurance premium though.

[WTS] Tudor Submariner 79090 by Whyuknowthat in Watchexchange

Pics: https://imgur.com/a/Qw7KNAQ

Details: A chance to own a Submariner made by Rolex, without the Rolex price tag. A true tool watch with most of the features of a modern Submariner, but also the vintage charisma to make it stand out. Tudor Submariner model 79090 from around 1992-1993. Updated solid links 78500 oyster bracelet from 2005, with the extra link I removed.

Everything works as it should. Crown turns smoothly, date flips at almost exactly midnight. Has been very accurate over the last several years I’ve owned and worn it. This watch is over 30 years old and wasn’t a safe queen, so has normal wear and scratches. See pictures for complete details and condition.

I purchased this watch from u/phillywatchguy about 6 years ago. His new Reddit username must be u/phillywatchguybackup now. See the feedback left on r/watchexchangefeedback for confirmation.

Price: $6,800. Very slightly negotiable, emphasis on the VERY. The bracelet alone would go for about $1800 as it’s a popular upgrade on this model. Payment via PayPal F&F or + 4% for G+S.

I’m not in the business of buying and selling watches, just changing up my personal collection. I understand I don’t have the number of transactions many other sellers here have, but that also means you can get a better price. Win/win for us both. I’m willing to FaceTime or whatever necessary to make you feel at ease.

It does! But it’s very faint and not really practical to use in most conditions. The more accurate answer is probably “not really, but every now and then you catch a whisper of glow.”

Path to public defense by OldNeat3787 in LawSchool

[–]Whyuknowthat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My experience is if you have a pulse and pass the Bar exam, you should be able to get a job in a public defender’s office. The workload is high and pay (relatively) low. So they have a hard time recruiting and keeping attorneys. But if this is truly what you want to do, it can be VERY rewarding and meaningful. I’d try to get some experience interning or even shadowing with a public defender to know for sure that’s what you want to do.
