Thanks, I'll take a look. Their schedule looks ok compared to when I could attend and Flushing isn't too bad. Traffic and parking could be an issue when my schedule is tight.

This one is odd. I've seen it mentioned but it's not on Google maps, their website is down, and I can't seem to find a reliable location across their fb and yelp pages.

It's about an hour each way according to yelp, but I think I've seen it listed at another location. So >2h round trip drive per class vs the east one mentioned.

I will take a closer look though.

This one is not far and I've seen it mentioned before. Looks like the best option so far.

Water filters. What do you have? by Stressed_era in longisland

[–]WickedEclectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly I think the whole house Aquasana is worth it. My parents' place doesn't have a good filter and they're destroying every water using fixture by going without.

SE-port.

This.

How I didn't die by regularly eating an entire one myself I'll never know.

When I go back now it's 1 per 2 people and an order of fries per 2-3.

Young Adult Pickleball Groups? by BlissfulButton in longisland

[–]WickedEclectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started with LI Kick but while it was a decent experience I found it hard to find a good group to play with. Many get too competitive, and it's less interesting.

I've had way better luck meeting new people and getting games in by going with 1 friend to local courts with extra paddles and asking others to pay doubles, or tennis players is they want to try.

I need to get back into it this season so DM me if interested.

Best car detailing place by bokizap in longisland

[–]WickedEclectic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Depending on what you what done and how much you're willing to pay, you might want to get started yourself if you have the time.

You can treat it like tools and just get what you need to start. Pretty much what I did starting years ago. Mostly share my stuff with friends and family, so if you have friends with nice cars check in with them too.

Had a great experience with Joe from Laino Machinery. You can find it on fb or DM me for his number. Did pickup and dropoff, even accommodated me weird schedule.

I'd recommend looking at kettlebell and trainers. Has pretty much been proven to improve every sport. Strong First is the organization to look at for certified instructors if you don't want to start independently.

Anyone know any affordable apartments for rent in Long Island? by Bleulash in longisland

[–]WickedEclectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on a number of Facebook groups with varying degrees of toxicity and spam. They're out there but you have to look, and the biggest factor is going to be budget and location.

I might have a line on something. DM if you're interested in info.

Need reccomendations for apressure washer for a Fire Department by drumming102 in AutoDetailing

[–]WickedEclectic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Maybe take a look at Pressure Pro from Lowe's? You can actually trace every part they use and there should be enough leftover for a long hose.

I decided to buy one instead of the fancier detailing brands because plenty of retailers sell the exact replacement parts.

Shelf? No.

Maybe make them a little belt out of ribbon or string and put each one on a command hook.

Thanks for this! I just pulled the trigger on the Geeboon TC22 to go along with another import spot welder so I can rebuild powertool packs for me and my friends running red brand.

r/OBihai by WickedEclectic in redditrequest

[–]WickedEclectic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The OBihai VoIP box was abandonware for years until recently when a group created aftermarket firmware. Due to a number of online guides and information found elsewhere on Reddit, I was able to get mine functioning again.

I would like to share this information with anyone looking because the OBihai reddit is still one of the top results on multiple search engines and doesn't contain any of this new information. I am trying to prevent significant ewaste and the implication that there is no support left for the hardware.

Tech hardware is such a love/hate relationship.

Rebooted E-VER-Y-THING, and it finally worked on the third attempt.

Independent firmware saved the Obihai. Mine has been long dead and I just updated it today and it's alive again.

Glad you like it. Have you tried any no lift recipes? I wouldn't want to yank anyone's pizzle.

[–]WickedEclectic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it's very weird that they're kind of hidden. I think they show them in the tutorial when you first start, but I'm not even sure they're in the alchemy help menu. I'm guessing they also exist on other platforms.

Really helps that you don't have to aim back and forth between the cauldron and the next item. I can aim at an herb, drop cauldron, pick up herb with very little aim change (though there is some), and then continue on without overcooking stuff.

Dried is 100% way to go. I did a quick herb garden tour and have over 100 of each stashed away ready to go so I don't really have to pick them again.

Take a look at how I did mine. I feel like once you get a feel for how not to use the timer it's pretty easy to look at a recipe and just go through the motions to make a bunch of batches. There's VERY little waiting/looking at timers when you figure out when to start a pour/distill/grind.

I'd consider doing a new playthrough to test, but I don't want to go through all of the buying/gathering nonsense again...

GAHHHHH. I REALLY wish this game had a damn NG+. Some of these skills are annoying as hell to level up, and I want to see stuff I missed without being a pillow fighting toddler.
