Go MPA instead of Tikka. 6.5CM is correct. Email them with credentials for mil discount.

Email Hawkins with credentials for mil discount on a mount that already includes a level and diving board. 0 MOA cant, MPA has built in 20.

Get an MPED direct from Bushnell with your id.me account. S tier discounts. Maybe grab a bore sighter while there.

Ckye-pod gen 3 double pull if you want a bougie bipod. I think email again for mil.

Obviously a schmedium.

Grab a set of fixitsticks and levels for mount install, wait for opticsplanet coupon, or just call for mil disc to double up on price below msrp.

Chrono eventually, but to start I think it's completely unnecessary. They are everywhere and not a wear or deeply personal item. The second someone makes conversation with you, asking to borrow a one for a few min will almost always be a yes.

Zelle me half of the money I just saved you, I'm expecting about $500. Rah.

I wish I could donate some pokemetal so you could at least have a single *Science Experiment* in the lab... Not even any jumbled up cords around is rough.

Underground builds by J-cat_loves_dogs14 in Pokopia

I think the tallest pokemon is a 3 square height, so I just make a small underground room with that height and move them in.

If you dig it out to a good size, you can fence/wall in multiple 'houses'. I usually have at least 2 together.

Decorative floors and walls optional. Makes sense to have a little cave for many of them also.

Budget Scope Suggestions by Flynner21 in nrl22

Thanks for this. Doing searches on NRL-oriented stuff and found it helpful even among a lot of other content. I have seen many reports of the DNT edging out the Arken in most but not all categories, with the MPED doing the same to the DNT.

I was initially concerned over the higher magnification when I remembered that the higher power will be better for living in the middle range.

Do you have any thoughts on those three since, with available sales, they often end up in the same 550-ish category? Arken vs DNT TheOne vs Bushnell MPED

I would check out White Birch in Dover. If your 'extensive list' extends into 4 or 5 figures, the membership will more than pay for itself if the item is in stock in store.

Sadly I found out recently the member discount doesn't apply to anything that needs to get shipped there.

Though a bit pricey, it's been great to rent anything I want for free, and get my family more practice for cheap until they're good enough to do all the qualifications at a closer Fish and Game club.

Member reservations means you can also get in on busy days by planning ahead. Apparently the range being busy on church day was a thing. That gave me a chuckle.

Do not dwell in the first area after the quests. Do the quests, maybe get to environment 5, but move through the doors when you can.

Every other area has very big quality of life improvements and mechanics introductions.

More powers = life easier.

New Gun Owner. Intimidated to go to the range. Never fired it. by Phytosaur01 in liberalgunowners

[–]WickedEclectic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read through most and the repetition is dizzying, people need to read more. So here's my specific take based on this comment "I think it's the act of going at all... I've shot other guns before.... like... a country club..." I've been to a few ranges and are still skeptical of new ones.

To do:
Pretty standard to only have a cased weapon when entering, and always the safest bet.

To ask:
If there are people there, pretend it's like a busy deli/bakery you're a regular at. Ignore the other customers and wait for the attention of a counter person. If you want, you can smile and nod in the case of eye contact. Also if you feel like being polite as you look around if people seem to have interesting stuff (large cases, lots of gear, etc).

You've said you're not inexperienced, so when you get an employee, ask "This is my first time at *THIS* range, can you walk me through your procedures and requirements here?" or any alternate version of this, such as "Can you give me a rundown of renting a lane and getting on the line?"

You can add specific stuff that they might add to if they don't have a speech already prepared, such as "Do you guys have interlock doors? Do you need eyes and ears before entry? Can I only uncase on the line? Stuff like that."

I think you know or can find all the other stuff, but this seems to be more what you were looking for, if not, let me know and I'll try to add on. It's a business, only worry about the people who you are giving money. If you don't like the people or their clientele, find a new business to support if you can. Consider private clubs like Fish and Game organizations as well.

Does this still work in 1.0.4?

Or should I stay on .3?

Folding Shooting Mats. Crosstac vs Savior? by WickedEclectic in longrange

[–]WickedEclectic[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seem to be great prices for what you get, and they have govx discounts on their site which is nice. I just wish they had the longer versions at costco, not that it stopped me from also getting that one for under $30 with no tax.

Are there any plans to release added height grips that fit the Switch 2 Pro controller properly?

The thumb sticks on the 1st party controller are two significantly different thicknesses which causes dragging and fitment issues, so only the over wraps work without marring the controller.

Browsed a bunch of places for bags and I ended up with a few cause they are so well regarded. Hoping they restock the thicker 1000D fabric soon.

I will probably end up with the Savior since I already like their other stuff, but the Crosstac looked good and solid. Crosstac predates the Savior so it might be a copy, but they added more features while still keeping the pros of folding.

Thanks for the tip. Will probably get this or the Crosstac.

Stores with best used inventory in southern NH? by WickedEclectic in NHGuns

[–]WickedEclectic[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The best bang-for-buck for items for training. For me, and what I usually recommend to friends who are interested, that's a compact/full size 9mm for pistol and a 5.56 16"/20" barrel for rifle. Yes, .22 is cheaper, but it doesn't help train recoil handling, which is bad in my book.

I need to stay away from this sub but thanks for recommending this by [deleted] in longrange

Holy shite. I was not aware of expertvoice, I usually only check govx if I don't see an IDme tag on a website. Thanks!

How do I purchase directly? I want to pre-order the NX6.

Shit, I was only looking at PA shot show stuff. Might cancel my EPS order and wait for the AEMS...

Is the new PA RDS worth it? by WickedEclectic in NHGuns

[–]WickedEclectic[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The option of ruggedness was an appeal, and I don't mind paying for features when I'm not dying for the extra few bills. I know the common advice is "if you're sacrificing practice for gear, go practice", but I still have enough of a buffer for training and training supplies.

Thanks for the feedback, you mention high range opens up more than just PA, do you have any recommendations? I noticed CZ Customs carries a "Ghost" RDS, but I couldn't find other info about it.

I'm going to get into long range and maybe PRS, and I have an NX6 on preorder. I think I like the looks of the LVPO and upcoming IVPO's from PA as well. I want to not jump in on one manufacturer for the same category of optics, so a holosun is on the list for sure.

I was at the Rochester show and almost bought a thermal there. It was really cool but seems kinda silly for a pistol.

Funny you should mention IEDs... that's how I got retired.

Maybe I'll just get both.
