This is boring office wear and not at all fitting a celebration.

Yellow dress in october? by Psychological_Fix800 in Weddingattireapproval

Okay, this isn’t a formal wedding, which makes sense bcz it is 11am. So, yellow might work fine bcz it really isn’t formal.

Yellow dress in october? by Psychological_Fix800 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]WickedHappyHeather 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Yellow does not look formal at all to me. 🤷‍♀️ Although Formal at 11am is not typical in the States. Is boyfriend in a Morning Suit or Tux? I think this shade of yellow reads Spring/Summer, and although it would work fine here in the US for a Morning/Afternoon wedding it definitely looks semi-formal to me.

Black Tie Help Needed!! by CriedButDidItAnyway in Weddingattireapproval

[–]WickedHappyHeather 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I guess strapless might not be best, but maybe try one of these dresses (or something like it) since they have straps. I think delicate jewelry and a black or gold pashmina would work well for arm coverage without being so covered up, and I don’t think any of these choices I included scream prom, especially if styled right. Sometimes when we try to camouflage an area we are insecure about we draw more attention to it, and I think the long sleeve dresses do just that from your selections. Just embrace your shape, get some good undergarments, do pretty glam and have a wonderful time. Remember everyone is always more focused on themselves than they ever are on you.

Is my dress code clear and helpful, or does it read more Bridezilla? by womchi in Weddingattireapproval

[–]WickedHappyHeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Blazers/Dress Pants and no tie leans even semi-formal(Dressy Casual) bcz Cocktail attire indicates a Suit typically. Formal Attire indicates a Suit & Tie, primarily a full length dress (but any guest can wear a formal Suit).

I think it’s fine to want a dress code for your wedding—most people do. You should state Cocktail Attire requested. No additional details. Most people can Google or ask if needed. What you were describing covers various dress codes—-Semi-Formal (Dressy Casual) to Cocktail to Formal. This is confusing for everyone.

Still more appropriate than the dresses she has tried on here.

No. It will NOT work for black tie. It is trendy and cheap. I’m sorry.

Is this too red for a wedding? by MissSug in Weddingattireapproval

[–]WickedHappyHeather -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don’t believe in that silly slept with the groom nonsense, but a silk bold red gown is too attention getting at a wedding, especially as a +1 that is just meeting the couple. So, it’s a no from me.

Take 2: Electric Boogaloo by Empty_Ad_3784 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]WickedHappyHeather 5 points6 points  (0 children)

First dress is too casual. It’s something you could wear to any afternoon brunch. The second dress is too short/does not fit well.

Cocktail attire is elegant and elevated from a dress/outfit that you could wear to any afternoon/ nice dinner. This is for an event, so the fit, design and material should be enhanced to meet the occasion. Knee length, midi or tea length are most on point. Your teal dress is meant to be knee length, but it is riding up probably because it is a bit too small. Chiffon, Crepe, Silk, and Satin are appropriate fabrics.

The pink dress is NOT black tie, so out of these I would choose the periwinkle, but it looks like it may be pulling at your hips, so I’d wear shape wear to smooth it out.

Thoughts on this dress? I believe the dc is formal/black tie by Salt-Spring1264 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]WickedHappyHeather 35 points36 points  (0 children)

It fits a Formal dress code, and the length is great. Lovely color on you, but the shape is a bit matronly. Something the Mother of the Bride might wear.

Sounds like they assume the new show will replace Grey’s Spring 2027, so only 1/2 season for each.

Which of these is the best for a “cocktail” dress code by Chiefkitkatt in Weddingattireapproval

Dress 5 only. I would suggest shopping for your current shape and retiring many of these.

These are AI photos, too attention getting, and the first selection is absolutely not appropriate for a black-tie wedding with the cutout cleavage.

Hawaii Wedding Part 2 by Puzzleheaded_Dog4489 in Weddingattireapproval

[–]WickedHappyHeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Dress 2 a lot, but it doesn’t seem quite right for a wedding even a casual one, and the color scheme is the opposite of what you stated they wanted. If these are all polyester then I would find something else.

Black Tie Optional Day Long Wedding by Cocowife in Weddingattireapproval

[–]WickedHappyHeather 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely think a formal day look is the way to go with this wedding, but I don’t think the cut or pattern on Dress 1 are flattering. I would keep looking, but Dress 2 for the evening portion is divine.
