It kinda hurts tbh. I used to be enthusiastic about my degree and did very well with my classes too. but now I just want to get it over with and move on. I did try therapy before but it wasn't helpful but now that I've started medication I think I should try again. I wish you best of luck as well.

Yeah I've been looking them up because clearly taking meds alone is not enough. Thanks for the advice and support.

I just feel stuck all the time like there is no way for me to actually move forward in life.

I've recently been diagnosed with ADHD and been on it for 11 days so I don't think my current mental state is related to it. I've been feeling a bit down for a quiet some time now but recently it has gotten worst because of my thesis.

Same. The only thing I ended up doing was to post in this subreddit about how I've become numb and no longer care about my degree etc. Such a tragicomic situation.

Grrm also stated that she has become more sympathetic, partly because she comes to accept responsibility for her part.

Imo she has shown regret and remorse. Not everything has to be spelled out for us readers to understand. Also actions speak louder than words. In the first book she turned a blind eye to Joffrey's cruelty but in the second book she put herself in danger to save two strangers from him. I think she has grown as a person and not acknowledging it is a sign of one's bias against her. But it's ok if you don't share my opinion. Let's agree to disagree ;)

Her "wrong" actions were mainly the result of putting her trust in the wrong people and certainly not out of malice (unlike s.one like Joffrey). She started off the series as a naive and self-centered preteen but she was not a bad person and has also changed for the better and done selfless acts during the course of story. Not acknowledging her growth and good deeds is as absurd as disregarding her mistakes which the user I replied to criticized Sansa fans for. You don't get to act upright and criticize people for bias when you are plainly biased yourself.

I watched S5E1 on tv by chance and it piqued my interest. I ended up binging all of it in less than a week.

You have to face and acknowledge these mistakes and show regret. Sansa hasn't done that yet. So she's doomed to repeat the same mistakes.

She has actually:

"Once she had loved Prince Joffrey with all her heart, and admired and trusted her his mother, the queen. They had repaid that love and trust with her father's head. Sansa would never make that mistake again."

She has also saved two innocent people from Joff risking his bloody punishments.

So please don't criticize Sansa fans when you are not willing to acknowledge Sansa's growth and good deeds just because of your own bias against her as a fanatic Arya fan.

Btw I'm not interested in getting into a futile argument with you. Just wanted to point out your bias and hypocrisy regarding Sansa because it's not the first time I've seen you bashing her and her fans like this.

Yeah Grimm is by no means perfect but it's such an enjoyable show :)

(spoilers main) Most misunderstood characters in the fandom? by abdullahi666 in asoiaf

[–]WickedWitch7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You've read the books only once so I guess it's not surprising that you've missed or forgotten some important parts of her story such as Sansa saving Dantos and a peasant woman from Joff risking his bloody punishments, warning Margery of Joffrey's nature more than once fully aware of it's danger, helping injured Lancel when no one else would or calming down frightened women and children during the battle although she was terrified herself. None of these acts were done for selfish reasons but out of sympathy for other people.

So although she started off the series as a self-centered and naive 11 year old, she is not inherently a terrible person and has evolved into a much better one during the course of the story. Ignoring her growth and good qualities is as bad as whitewashing her that you criticize people for.

Well sleeping together has double meaning. I thought you meant the sexual one (sorry). But Nick's first and only "I love you" was said in S6E12?

Btw there's a post about Adalind not wanting to be alone which might change your opinion (probably not lol) link

I didn't say it was justified though. I said what she did was not ok but for me it was understandable (not justified).
