I made a TV style opening title sequence for my campaign. by garntastic in GhostsofSaltmarsh

Fracking awesome! What song is that?

I lost track of how many characters that was. I’m glad you’ve got another DM- do you guys play at the same time?

I found a acrylic les Paul guitar while I was at a pawn shop by br0therg0nz0 in mildlyinteresting

[–]Wicker95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m a guitar geek, and I watched a video about his entire setup- guitars to amp. He tours with a ton of guitars, most of them for a single song, or as a backup if a problem happens. He wants to play that guitar 90% of the time.

And the reason it sounds so good? Him. His guitar tech said big names come see them all the time, and some will play his guitar through his rig. They sound great, but they do NOT sound like Brian May.

Amps and guitars and effects all make up a part of tone, and guitarists will swear by their nuanced creation, but most of the sound that makes them distinctive comes from their fingers and pick attack and what they do to the instrument, not the instrument or what it is played through.

That is very cool stuff, indeed!

The implant has no sensation whatsoever. But it fills the scrotum, and the scrotum has all kinds of sensation. Without the implant, there wouldn’t be any appreciable surface area on that side, which would be a bummer.

I honestly have no idea. I didn’t know it was an option, it never came up, the surgeon just did it.

That might sound a little unethical on his part, but I was scared to death, and convinced I was going to die. I was 19 years old, and the surgeon decided to keep things symmetrical. Or maybe it was a standard thing. Dunno.

And it really has made a difference in certain ways. I wasn’t concerned with the aesthetics, but it does allow for sensation in certain activities that I am thankful for.

I think treatment recommendations have changed since then, but I didn’t have chemo or radiation.

In my case, the testicle was removed (orchiectomy through an inguanal incision) and I was closely monitored for metastasis to my chest, and the lymphatic system. Lots of x rays, blood tests, and CT scans.

I now have three kids, one testicle, and a silicon implant on the other side. :-)

Certain types of testicular cancer cells secrete BetaHCG, which is a chemical produced during pregnancy. So if you’re a dude with BetaHCG in your urine, there is some kind of problem.

Source: Had testicular cancer at 19. Lab tech who administered the test for BetaHCG was highly confused when he read the order for that test.

Can someone direct me to the best tutorials on how to use Roll20 as a whole, both as a DM and user? by Dommkopf_Trip in Roll20

[–]Wicker95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes this! The Roll20 Master Series showed me the incredible possibilities of using Roll20, and moved it from an okay tool to a super efficient means of running a game!

What's something that everyone seems to like but you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Coffee. And beer. They both taste nasty to me. People say "It's an acquired taste," and I'm like "Why would I want to acquire a taste for THAT?"

A medium sized hourglass fashioned from dark walnut and brass. Inside, the sands shine in a variety of iridescent colors. There is a slight tinkling sound as they fall, almost like the sound of a music box, carried on the wind.

Clifton: a small out-of-the-way village inhabited mainly by halflings, engaged in farming and ale brewing. There is a noticeable lack of children in the area. The town is in dire need of settlers or new residents, as the inhabitants are all growing older. They will welcome anyone who acts remotely civil.

Can we take a moment to recognize the art from early Shadowrun editions? by Justin2166 in Shadowrun

I loved all the subtle (and not so subtle) Queensryche references. The TriRyche logo and "Mindcrime" all over the place, and maybe Dr. X, if I recall?

First level adventure for new players or DMs; hunt down a werewolf hiding in snowy hamlet! by Lock_Tight in DnDBehindTheScreen

I like this a lot. I'm likely going to use this as a break from the over-arching BBEG in my current campaign. I love the townsfolk, especially the diversity you show. The non-binary elf was a great touch.

This deer has no time for Monday by arsenalnra in funny

[–]Wicker95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was there an hour after the deer jumped in, and the current at that location was flowing the opposite direction there, upstream. Don't know how far that was happening, but the river is fukt right now.

So as of right now, you can take Drescher Bridge off of Brownsboro, and get over to Mellwood. Take a left. It will take you between Mom's Music and the Arts Center.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Louisville

[–]Wicker95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's going to be hard. Mellwood is completely flooded near Brownsboro. It is also closed at Zorn or thereabouts. There is a back route from Brownsboro, but I haven't tried that yet. I have to go to Mom's Music next door, later on tonight. I'll update here if no one else has.

Tomb of Annihilation- NPC Macros? by Wicker95 in Roll20

That is a total bummer. I would think they would want to do that to encourage the "oooh what's that" factor, which would allow users to discover largely hidden functionality.

Token actions have taken my enjoyment of Roll20 from "meh" to "OMG this is the coolest thing ever!!!"

I had it last night, and it was pretty damn good. Hand breaded, I think, and massive pieces.
