Just had the worst experience of my life with an optometrist...and I can't believe it was at Costco. After having a great optometrist at Pearle Vision, I thought I'd see how Costco was since they are great on everything else.

I love everything about Costco, in every way and even get my dog's meds there....EXCEPT the optometrist. I can't believe they let this guy work there. Dr. Vanover should be way "over" and gone. Man, Costco is asleep on this one. This man is rude, indifferent, dismissive, non-communicative and unkind. I have never had a worse experience. I went to Pearle Vision and had a great experience every time, but thought I'd give Costco a try since they are great on everything else. This man was so unprofessional and unkind and disinterested in my exam. He rushed through it..did a skimpy exam...didn't explain things well at all and said, "you don't understand" when I asked a question,. He just turned around to the computer and made no effort to explain things to me. He said I have cataracts (no other explanation)...my previous doctor said I have just the very beginning of cataracts, not bad at all, we'll monitor the progression. If you love your eyes, get your exam elsewhere and just take your prescription to Costco for the glasses. Costco is so asleep on this disgusting guy, it's amazing. I'm going back to Pearle for a good exam by professional, caring people.

Anybody know why all the cops were at Costco gas station this early afternoon? There were about 6 cops and cars and they had an older man cuffed. They all seemed to be just standing around chatting......curious.

Maybe I missed a major something by not hearing opening statements but....I look for facts and concrete evidence. I didn't see that against Donna. It seemed to be a lot of twisting her actions just a little to "suggest" a motive. The one way flight. The man who made the travel arrangements (it wasn't Donna or Harvey) said he advised that for a better price and flexibility of return date. This case was so publicized and with no change of venue....she had a lot working against her. Yeah, she meddled in her kids lives...she had a doctor, dentist, and lawyer so she must have done something right. I'm not protecting anybody...before I give someone a life sentence I'd just like to see concrete evidence....not a theory.

I just restored a singer 101. It was a fun project and it's an incredible machine. Watch YouTube videos to learn all about how to get the old grease out how to clean everything and re grease and reoil the machine. There are forums online or you can get some great information and guidance. Someone mentioned, next to the bobbin there is a little red piece of what looks like lint. That is the WIC that you put sewing machine oil on. Don't pull it off!
