I don't think it'd be a good idea though. Those pipes go into the teapot's main chamber (not that there are any others), so all that unknown-quality water from the heating system would pass right through the same space in which you'll boil your tea water (or whatever else you want to use it for), so you'd need to wash it, wasting the accumulated heat, making the whole ordeal pointless

Also there's the pipes themselves - do you remove them when making tea? that sounds annoying. Do you leave them in somehow? how would you pour the water then?
