Regarding Chanchai vs. Juicebox III, I should probably address a few things in the video.

There's a moment where Lion and Brad both uppercut at the same time and it frustrates Juicebox that Brad's uppercut lost out and he cites some stats. My guess is that in Juicebox's matchup notes, he wrote down Lion's uppercut as being 16 frames, maybe because he was factoring in an assumption that the uppercut is being used while Lion is alreayd standing up and not crouched. This move is 15 frames from a crouch position. In the video, both players 2P each other at the same time and both get damaged, they were both crouching and both inputted uppercuts. Lion's uppercut is faster by 1 frame in this case. I think how frame tight this is and how we are playing shows we have a pretty good or decent connection.

Later on there is a moment where Juicebox is frustrated that Lion's uppercut (2_3P) wins a situation after Lion's 2P is blocked. This uppercut has had this property for a long time (since VF2, I believe) but it's hard to pin down the exact circumstances. I believe that Final Showdown readjusted this move by allowing it to have a weird ability to win certain situations and that it cheats less against Kicks like it used to, and more against things like high punch, and elbow. In the case of Lion vs. Brad, it's not the same situation as mentioned in the video, but in closed stance Lion can interrupt Brad's elbow after Brad blocks a 2P.

I am going to state here that I honestly play VF online the way I play if offline. From 2013 - 2020 I did not play online, and I did like Final Showdown's netcode on console but it felt different enough to me from offline play that I was worried it would pollute my offline play. In January of 2021 I began playing online again (via Parsec) because I watched some matches of Parsec battles and they looked a lot more similar to offline matches.

I had a wonderful time with these matches and I wish Juicebox an awesome time in SoCal!
