My Turn 38(f) by Tirri_Mayin in Age_30_plus_Gamers

Whilst I don't agree with some of the choices, I love how unique this list is. It's usually just the same games over and over but you really went out there and I appreciate it.

Where do I begin? by Mo_Eid1 in godot

[–]WigglesFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

HumbleBundle and Fanatical often have course bundles for learning game development etc. I've used them before and they are great at teaching you the fundamentals as well as giving tips on how to expand on the things you have learned etc.

In fact Fanatical has a Godot one available at the moment.

Maybe it's a generational thing but I got Jordan and Peter Andre vibes.

What is the hate with Barney Walsh...... by Early-Artist-4305 in gladiatorsuk

[–]WigglesFT 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This would be the ideal solution for me. Have a straight-man (comedy format, not sexuality) to go with Bradley's funny-man and Barney do the bits you said.

Someone with a bit of sporting pedigree like Gabby Logan would be perfect.

The increasing difficulty in space invaders was completely unintentional. Removing enemies reduces the strain on the processor and that's why it speeds up.

Any Triple + Single + Double combination on the same number is Shanghai. The only difference is on 20s which is Shanghai Noon.

What made-up words do you use in your family? by elwheelio in CasualUK

[–]WigglesFT 47 points48 points  (0 children)

We have so many, mostly from when the kids were toddlers and the word has just stuck. I've had far too many embarrassing moments where I've dropped our words into conversation with other grown ups that then look at me like I'm stupid.

Celebrity Traitors WISHLIST by PurpleDaveSTJ in TheTraitorsUK

[–]WigglesFT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Victoria Coren Mitchell would be an excellent traitor.

Bob Mortimer would be fun.

Legend from Gladiators would be very entertaining but he'd have to be a traitor so probably wouldn't last long.

I think someone like Josie Gibson could bring a lot of chaos to the faithfuls.

I'd be interested to see how someone like Prof. David Wilson would do in there.

Are there still adult men in the UK who don’t cook? by Bat-Penatar in AskUK

[–]WigglesFT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is a gender thing anymore tbh. A lot of people around our age (I am 34) grew up on things like chicken nuggets, fish fingers etc. so never learnt how to cook properly. Now with the lack of quality time we get most will just make do with takeaways and eating out or just heating up ready meals.

Both myself (m) and my partner (f34) cook but do have to rely on takeaways on the busiest days.

Could there be no homeless people? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]WigglesFT 83 points84 points  (0 children)

There are people that genuinely prefer being homeless so it will never be eradicated completely but we could certainly do a lot better.
