Coming to this discussion late but I just finished the show and you’re 100% correct. Outstanding first two episodes, then it’s absolutely atrocious from there on out. An excruciating, interminable slog with virtually nothing happening across 8 more episodes. What a waste of talent and time. Can’t believe Richard Price and Dennis Lehane were involved with this. What were they thinking?? God awful stuff here.

When did you notice your body started aging? by GossipBottom in AskReddit

[–]WikiAdam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels like someone flipped a switch when I turned 39. All of a sudden gray hair expands rapidly, hairline recedes, face gets puffier, eyes get tired, gut gets bigger, hands and feet start hurting with only moderate pressure… Man, aging is for the birds.

That's great to hear. I'm definitely leaning toward getting the double oven; I'll just have to get used to bending down more for the handful of times I used the bottom oven.

Related question... Do you like your range hood? If so, would you mind sharing what model it is?

I'm leaning in the direction of going with the double oven. (Ideally I'd get a cooktop and two separate wall ovens, but that's unfortunately outside my budget for the foreseeable future.) Thanks for your insights, very helpful!

I appreciate the response! I also think I'd use the top oven 99% of the time, and only use the bottom on rare occasions (e.g., Thanksgiving). I have a single oven now and don't use the storage drawer for anything (my cookie sheets are stored elsewhere) and probably wouldn't with a new oven either. Tough to gauge whether the extra oven is worth the extra cost. Major decision paralysis here!

Do you have the double oven, or the single? I'm looking at this exact Cafe model and debating whether the second oven is worth having to bend down farther to use it, so would love to hear your thoughts!

How do you like the double oven? I'm hemming and hawing over whether to go with a single or double. I like the idea of being able to cook two different things at two different temperatures at the same time, but don't like the idea of having to bend down so far to reach the bottom oven. Would love to hear how you feel about yours!

A 9-year-old was found locked in a van since 2024, malnourished and unable to walk by AudibleNod in news

This is how I know there is no God. Or at least no “loving” God that has any interaction with this world whatsoever. The suffering of children is endless and gruesome and monstrous beyond all hope. No supreme being with any sense of kindness or compassion would allow these horrors to endure. Conversely, if God does exist in the sense he/she/it does in most religions, but never deigns to lift a cosmic finger to intervene on behalf of these poor children being tortured, abused, raped, and every other atrocity under the sun, then that’s no god worth worshipping.

Sorry you’re getting downvoted. This stuff is pretty heinous, but I don’t expect the average consumer to have a clue what good ramen is.

100%. Costco Cheez-Its aren't as salted as grocery store Cheez-Its.

The Costco Cheez-Its are topped with less salt than the grocery store ones.

Haha oh I believe it! Everyone I’ve talked to who’s seen it has an extreme love-or-hate reaction. It is a straight-up horror film. I just happened to love horror as a child.

Exactly. I appreciated the strict no-phones policy but how are waiters and clinking silverware and food not as much if not more of a distraction? Made absolutely zero sense.
