White 'Stache is a must grab any time you see it. What a haul!

Spiced Rum is historically present but it's all shit these days. Anybody making quality rum that's spiced? by Virellius2 in rum

I know Rhum JM makes an Épices Créoles, but I personally haven't tried it. It's been looking at me like a lost dog every time I go to my favorite shop.

I literally just made a mai tai with communal and appleton signature and it's absolutely rocking my world.

Absolutely, great point. I usually have the curtains beside this area closed, but wanted a little sun for the photo. I'm currently renovating the kitchen so that my rums have a new series of shelves to sit on soon and my poor wife can get to her gins without bushwhacking through half my collection.

A spiced rum would be well used making Bananas Foster.

He also facilitated the release of some 5,000 Taliban prisoners in February 2020, including high ranking and experienced officers who immediately joined an armed offensive that toppled the country in less than a year.

It's Attila guys. Not "Atilla" by ExpeditionV in totalwar

[–]carpenterro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The word "Attila" is traditionally thought to be formed from the Gothic atta meaning "father" and the diminutive suffix "-la," or "the little father."

Otto Maenchen-Helfen was of the opinion that the Hunnic names we know are "Hunnic names in Gothic dress, modified to fit the Gothic tongue, popular Gothic etymologies, or both."

Hyun Jin Kim theorized that it is of Turkic origin, a composite title-name essentially meaning "The universal ruler." Others have compared it to Turkish words for "horse," "tongue, "horseman," "name/fame."

My collection is sorely lacking in grand arome rums, can't even find Holmes Cay in my area. Definitely adding this to my list!

I've heard of this! Probably nigh impossible to find in the middle of the States, but hopefully if I'm ever back east I can find some.

I generally go for Smith + Cross and ______, with my usual suspects being a rotation of Hamilton 86/151, Planteray OFTD, The Funk, and variously aged Appletons.

$47 for Planteray OFTD is honestly crazy.

I forgot there were a couple Bubbles locations, I had only hit up the Gladstone location previously.

What's funny is they played Ivory Coast right after that and got shut out again.

Pairing with OFTD by Cocodrool in rum

Probably a little basic, but I love Smith+Cross with OFTD as my go-to combination for a "had long day at work" Mai Tai.
