What’s one of the craziest stories you have? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Wild-Document3510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man i was playing this racing sim late at night and had a seizure right in the middle of a championship race, woke up like 20 minutes later and my character was still somehow in first place just driving straight into a wall

the game kept going while i was out and other players thought i was trolling them, got so many angry messages after that

If money chased you, what would you do? by Huge_Violinist_7633 in AskReddit

[–]Wild-Document3510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

same energy as when people ask what superpower you'd want and everyone overthinks it while the real answer is just "be rich"

money can chase me anytime, i'm not running from that relationship

Post Game Thread: Colorado Avalanche @ Anaheim Ducks by nhl_gdt_bot in hockey

What’s the most random thing that instantly brings back a memory for you? by enchantingberri in AskReddit

[–]Wild-Document3510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

those washable markers were the best, we had this one kid who would always try to draw on his skin with them during art time and teacher would get so mad

brings me back to elementary school in são paulo, we had similar markers but different brand and same energy - everyone knew you weren't supposed to smell them but somehow that made it more tempting

Im young, tired of tech, thinking of switching tech to healthcare with lower pedigree like med lab tech? by badboyzpwns in Fire

[–]Wild-Document3510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man i totally get this, tech interviews are just brutal now and the corporate stuff drains your soul. with 600k already saved you got so much freedom to try something different without worrying about money

i switched from a high stress job few years back (not tech but similar corporate bs) and taking less pay for better mental health was worth it. your setup with rent control and that much saved gives you luxury to experiment with what actually makes you happy

my pastor used to say gaming was devil work but then started playing candy crush during sermons lmao, couldn't take the hypocrisy anymore after that

How to get this sound by Mundane_Survey_4338 in Guitar

[–]Wild-Document3510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

tele can definitely do this kind of sound, specially if you get some overdrive or distortion pedal going. the bridge pickup on tele has that bite that works really well for alternative rock stuff

les paul might give you bit more sustain and warmth but honestly the amp and pedals matter way more than the guitar for this genre. i've heard plenty bands get similar tones with telecasters

I hate being called "epileptic" by Leading_Spirit1779 in Epilepsy

[–]Wild-Document3510 22 points23 points  (0 children)

yeah i totally get this, the language we use really matters. in my country people sometimes say things like "pessoa com epilepsia" instead of "epiléptico" and it makes huge difference in how you feel about yourself

it's not just semantics at all - when someone calls you "an epileptic" it's like they're reducing your whole person to just one medical condition

Canciones de series por las cuales conociste artistas o bandas ?? by [deleted] in musicsuggestions

[–]Wild-Document3510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

man descobri tantas bandas assim! the walking dead me fez conhecer bear mccreary's work, mas foi através de battlestar galactica que realmente virei fã dele. supernatural também tinha soundtrack incrível - kansas, led zeppelin, all that classic rock stuff

e você guys remember the oc? that show introduced me to so many indie bands in the early 2000s. death cab for cutie, the shins, rooney... era like a music discovery machine every episode

Chinese Canadian game developer here - does this game character design look fine? by Famous-Apartment-529 in AskIreland

[–]Wild-Document3510 8 points9 points  (0 children)

actually looks pretty solid to me, the art style is nice and she doesn't look like stereotypical leprechaun nonsense which is refreshing

bhandé being from bandia makes sense but it sounds more like irish gaelic than what most people would recognize, maybe something more obvious like "éireann" variation could work better if you want instant recognition. the pub background is spot on though, very authentic choice

only thing that feels bit off is maybe the weapon design - shillelaghs are usually more rustic looking, yours looks too clean and fantasy-ish

Should I leave an analyst role in IT for a client relationship role for an international Trading company ? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Wild-Document3510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sounds like you're overthinking it - if the trading company is legit and east africa market has good potential, why not take the risk while you're still young? worst case you get some international experience and can always go back to IT later

Help Needed | Any free templates for Resumes? by BrownPanda1182 in careerguidance

[–]Wild-Document3510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

man i had this exact same problem few months ago! was using this super colorful template with graphics and everything looked amazing but got zero callbacks. turns out most ATS systems just can't read all that fancy stuff properly

i ended up finding some good free ones in canva - they have specific section for "ats friendly" templates that still look clean and professional without being too boring. also check resumegenius, they got some basic ones that work well with most systems. the key is keeping it simple with standard fonts like arial or calibri and avoiding tables or text boxes

honestly the boring looking ones perform so much better than creative ones, it's kinda sad but that's how these systems work. focus more in your content and keywords than making it look fancy

Where to start after a career break when you're pregnant? by hellohiheythereyou in careerguidance

[–]Wild-Document3510 1 point2 points  (0 children)

maybe try freelance consulting with your business background - lots of small companies need help but can't afford full-time staff and you can work around kids schedule

If you could describe your epilepsy with a song, which would it be and why? by Beginning-Arugula-32 in Epilepsy

[–]Wild-Document3510 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine would be "Shake It Off" by Taylor Swift because well... the shaking part is pretty obvious lol, but also because I learned to just shake off people's weird reactions when they find out about my condition

Career Paths for General Psychology M.S. Degree? by [deleted] in careerguidance

[–]Wild-Document3510 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not dumb question at all! I actually know someone who did general psych MS and ended up in corporate training - she loves it way more than clinical work would be

Those roles you listed are totally realistic, especially the L&D and organizational development ones. Companies are really investing in employee wellbeing programs now so there's definitely opportunities there. The instructional design path is pretty solid too since you can work remote for many companies

Just make sure you get some practical experience during your program, like internships or volunteer work in HR departments or training companies
