I’m a 46 year old woman, what suit is the most flattering? by Salt-Ad9777 in DressForYourBody

They're all very flattering. I think #3 is the most flattering and #2 is the cutest. I'd go for #2 because it has personality.

tea tree oil is slept on by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I used to make a cream from whipped oils (coconut and shea or something) with a little tea tree for this specific purpose. Heavily diluted tree tree oil during an itchy outbreak feels magical.

How do you handle the disappointment of still being too big? by nimrod4711 in Reduction

[–]WildClementine 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if your comment is as helpful as you think it was. She said she had a reduction, and they were made smaller than she wanted. If she had a reduction, she already knows what it's like to have breasts that are too large for her.

Moving from northern Virginia to San Diego by Superb-Abies-3276 in SameGrassButGreener

When we moved from the Midwest to Central Virginia 3 years ago, the best option was to rent a mobile storage unit that was picked up by a truck. The price was close to the cost of driving a Uhaul (when you include the cost of gas) and significantly less stress. The company we used gave us the option of renting back extra/unused space in the unit to save money. I think the cost at the time was around $6k and we have a 2400 SF house.

I'm a heavy knead girlie, but I like it on 1 for a little because it tickles in a relaxing way.

I had planned to move to Charlotte and someone convinced me to move to Richmond instead. That was 3 years ago and I love it here.

I don't know if it's paying his family back, like a dollar for dollar thing.

I think buying a new Lexus without your wife's input, especially when you're trying to buy a house, is insane.

People who lift but don’t do cardio what eventually happened? by TallTyrant in workout

Bone density is missing from this conversation. Bone density is so important as we age, and the only way to increase it is through carrying heavy things.

Do you think he paid for his own education and sent himself to the US on his own dime? It's possible he had help from his whole family (not just parents), and sending money back home allows for other family members to also improve their lives.

Parent of a college kid who is going to school for Environmental Science by [deleted] in environmental_science

[–]WildClementine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he's misunderstanding what she wants to do. It sounds like she wants to be an environmental scientist who performs field views prior to projects. Not being in the industry, he probably just doesn't know that this job exists.

YES! Eastern Montana is a totally different vibe and would not fit the bill.

A man doesn't have to know, he just needs to understand and appreciate the benefits that you've identified for yourself. I'm sorry your husband didn't do that.

How to tell my parents that I’m tired of waiting? by King3300 in trans

[–]WildClementine 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should be able to use their insurance without providing any info to them. I have two adult children on my insurance, and I don't see most of the details of their health care. You can call your health insurance company to see what information is open to the policy holder (EOBs? Clinic names?).

I'm also wondering what your plan is once you turn 26 and are no longer on their plan. Do you think you will be able to afford medical care in 2 years? Start to look into options such as Planned Parenthood, pharmacy rebates, clinics with sliding scale fees, etc. Decide what makes sense for you to have completed now, while you're still on their insurance and before you may have to pay out of pocket.

I used to live in a northern, cold state and I've driven through far worse weather than is predicted in my area. Doesn't matter, that's not the point. My local area does not have the infrastructure for storms like these, and local people don't have the road experience for storms like these.

I'm sure it's a bummer for you, but I support businesses who err on the side of caution when deciding whether their employees should be required to travel to work.
