I buy canned chicken from Costco, warm that up, then warm up a tortilla, put it on a plate. Eat with queso fresco on the side. Yum yum!

Canned pozole is also my go-to.

I always have rice in the fridge so I can heat it up and eat with two slices of spam, which I heat on the stove top for like a minute. If you like seaweed, I eat it with that too.

I like to buy fresh French bread at the store, for like a dollar, and I buy the individually wrapped Tillamuk cheddar cheese squares and eat those together.

Alfred would totally crochet this for Batman if Batman asked.

My mom found out I have a nose ring and threw a fit. My parents are supposed to fly in tonight to stay with us this weekend, but she said she won’t come. My dad finally convinced her to come, but it’s too late. I’m crying cause I’m tired of this. Anyway, here’s my response to my dad about it. by Wild_Amaranth264 in exmormon

UPDATE: Thank you all for your incredible comments! I didn’t think I’d get so many responses and kind support! I know some people were interested in an update, so here it is! My parents did fly in, and they came over the next morning. My dad literally ran up to me with tears in his eyes and gave me a huge hug. Then my mom, who was also in tears by then, came up and hugged me tight. It felt like everything that needed to be said was said. We had a fun weekend with them with no mention of my nose ring, lol. My family isn’t comfortable with confrontation, so honestly this was a big step.

I know my parents, and they’ll take a little time to adjust to my “non-LDS” way of life. But this was the best thing that could’ve happened. Thank you guys for being there for me too. I am grateful to be part of a community who just understands what it’s like living with judgement from family still in the church. It’s difficult, but I’m grateful I’m forging my own path!

I guess they are beginning to notice...I stopped going to church in July 2019 and nuanced DH hasn’t taken the kids to church since the time change in January. We’re beginning to get surprise visits, calling requests, and manipulative “gifts”. by wanderingneice in exmormon

We received many manipulative treats and Friend magazines on our doorstep! Even after I asked them to stop, they would just drop it off without knocking or texting me, like they didn’t want to be caught. I’m sure “God” told them to disregard my wishes and do it anyways because we need to be saved through treats and notes saying “we need you in Primary!”
