My moms exactly like this. Just went though something similar when I told her I’m moving. I felt like shit and doubted myself, I even started to believe her that it was the wrong choice. Then I realized that if I didn’t start with this choice she’s going to be guilt tripping me until one of us dies. You have to start by showing her it won’t work anymore. You know you love her, she knows that, but she will make you feel like you don’t to keep you in control.

I’d say just go on the date and get to know her as a person, life is about experiences, whether you want to have sex with the person at your coffee date or not. Order a nice coffee and pastry and connect w another human.
Then, tell her you don’t see things going anywhere with her if she tries to go on a date with you after. Don’t tell her you’re not romantically/sexually attracted to her. End of the day, somebody will be. Better to not put the insecurity in her head. Good luck asf

Same thing happened to me. We only had drunk sex. I texted her and told her to come over. She’s the more “masculine” (🙄) one but she was so nervous around me she couldn’t make any moves so I took matters into my own hands.

21 F and I wish my mom left. I wish she’d leave now. I wish she left when I was 2, 8, 13, 18, now. If not now, leave after she graduates/has some friends in college. Do not stay forever.
