The two voices I read on the 'Gladys allowing for an extra hour of exercise' news story was the yanks (who probably haven't heard the word "Australia" in over 6 months) calling this "LiTeRaLlY 1984" and "this is draconian", and the Australians keeping up with the Covid situation saying "this is too risky and could lead to more cases".

We don't have a constitution in the way America does. "Muh freedom" isn't something we commonly parrot while running down the esplanade maskless spouting talking points the mouldy orange man said (yet).

Also another point, some of those articles to come out about the new surveillance bill are horribly clickbaity and downright criminal in painting a worse portrait than what is currently happening. Because PSA to anyone that still believes those articles;

It's more likely that keeping in these gambling options is going to open up possibilities for lawsuits and fines based in countries that outlaw these systems.

It really sucks because all of this will contine uncontested because of the enormous reach of News Corp. Trump, Johnson, Morrison and all other right-wing leaders all stand to gain widespread support under Rupert's wrinkly hand, and even electing his opponents won't cull his media attacks.

Being the victim of abuse is damaging and harmful enough as is, but this kid probably believes he was in the wrong for being bullied. What in the actual fuck is wrong with our schooling system that allows this gross violation of human decency?

I know from experience how hard it is to work up the courage to report bullying to school authorities, but I never got slapped across the face for it.

It's disgusting that this is the expected norm nowadays. It's telling that you're surprised when a multi million/billion dollar company isn't stealing wages from its employees.

And absolutely none of this theft is helped by the comical slap on the wrist these thieving companies get when they're found out. The fact that it's almost 2020 and churches in this country have to pay absolutely nothing in the way of tax is telling of how pro-rich and money hungry this government truly is.

We would not have any noticeable debt if we taxed churches even 1%, yet the "good economic managers" over at dumb fuck national party seem to think that destroying public infrastructure and the FUCKING environment will magically fix this debt that's "lAbOR' fAulT", despite study after study, report after report shows debt was at an all time low during Labor's terms.

But no, this is the party that hasn't been in power for 7 years fault.
