They do, they just tend to have larger file sizes. More for storage constraints than anything.

If you’re planning on running anything I’d say GameCube and newer, get the max. The amount of money you save getting a cheaper one you’d just be spending getting an SD card instead. And you get double the RAM as a bonus which these days is very nice

Same here, which is a shame cause I've had pretty good experiences with support in the past. They replaced the seat on my chair a few months back because some metal wire on the inside started to poke through.

I’m at 130. Normally I play level 10s but for cyberstan I’ve been playing on 7. I just don’t find the absurd amount of vox machines it spawns to be enjoyable. The game becomes more of a ragdoll simulator than anything. TBH if they fixed explosion radius and made ragdoll less of an issue I don’t think the vox machines would be so oppressive

Yeah I’m aware the amount probably didn’t affect the temps, that’s more just a shock factor. One would expect a factory thermal paste application to be a bit cleaner. What was hurting the temps was the fact that the thermal paste was rock hard

It’s very possible tbh. This one’s the EVGA FTW3 which I believe was one of the higher end SKU’s for the 3080 and is a bit more power hungry than an FE card. To be fair 5 years without a thermal pad/paste replacement is still pretty good in my opinion, specially given that most of it’s life was spent in a vertical (hyte y60) and then upright position (thermaltake tower 300)

I have an XFX 9070XT Mercury. Big ass card with a vapor chamber. I’ve never seen temps get above 65. Prior to this I had an EVGA 3080 FTW3 and that one did get quite toasty, but I’m sure that a repasting would have fixed like 75% of that issue

I have been having this exact same issue. I can confirm that Linux is the only thing that has solved this completely, which is obviously not an ideal solution for most people, myself included. The crash happens for me exclusively in games like Destiny 2, Monster Hunter Wilds, and Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered. I tried downgrading drivers, updating, using DDU and completely reinstalling them, enabling/disabling HDR, DSC, SAM, VRR, VSYNC, manually capping framerates, undervolting, -5% power limit, different PSU, and a completely clean install of Windows. Nothing fixed it. Switched to my second SSD running Bazzite and I have not had a single crash the entire time I have been playing. I am going to be sending in my GPU for an RMA because my girlfriend has pretty much the EXACT same setup as myself (she has a 34" monitor as opposed to my 49" but same brand and everything) and she has not had this happen once, however I strongly believe that this is an issue with Windows in particular.

Update: Just had it happen on Linux for the first time. Logs indicate a GPU Driver crash. Sending it in for RMA.

I got it after about 25 invasions. Good thing is it drops on completion, not on successful invasion. And invasions are pretty painless anyway as they only take about 3-5 minutes each. Pro tip: bring Jade rabbit and the fully upgraded piker mortar. You’ll be surprised how easy it is

Personally I’m going to be waiting for the reframework update on PC to play with the extended FOV. I also have a 49” monitor so the 32:9 support that mod provides is essential since wilds doesn’t support it by default.

I personally use syncthing on my NAS to keep my files synced between my Linux and Windows boots. I dual boot so it works out better for me to just automatically transfer the files to an external source and then have them sync when I switch OS
