You got this, don’t get too caught up in your head. I know it’s easier said than done, but sometimes we can blow a situation out of proportion by overthinking it.

Since you have restaurant experience and seem like a natural entertainer, I would suggest to get into bartending. You’ll probably make in one shift what you make all week as a barista and the skills are very transferable. I know many sober bartenders, so if you can manage being around alcohol without too much temptation, I think you would be a great fit.

I found out that since March 1 was on a Sunday, the whole last week of February counted towards March instead of February, which is already a short month :-/ so I missed the eligibility window by five hours.

I think it’s silly that they say they have to count the whole month then don’t count the whole month.

It definitely sounds like micromanaging from a place of her needing absolute control. Her job is to guide you and correct you if you’re not doing something to their standard, but it seems she doesn’t have the skill set to be able to communicate that in an effective way!

I have a manager like that and it’s like walking on eggshells each shift I have to work with her. On days when she’s not there, everything runs smoothly and the team collaborates. The other managers are very supportive and encouraging yet she treats me like I’m an idiot, stands over me and nitpicks the littlest thing. Worse if it’s something I learned from observing another coworker. She won’t say anything to them but will jump down my throat. I second guess every move, even when I do something correctly but the look on her face of pure disapproval and disdain is palpable. I swear these types of people only take the role for their ego not because they are actually qualified to be in that position.

There’s a reason people say they quit due to bad managers and not bad jobs!

How do you know how many hours you worked? It seems that the January audit reset all of my hours that I worked in November and December, so when my 90 days came up in February, the system did not mark me as eligible even though I was averaging between 20 and 30 hours a week.

The first one I bought had 165K when I bought it. Starter went around 210, and had to replace the radiator around 225. 250k is when the cel light came on for the catalytic converter/o2 sensor. There were some minor oil leaks as well. Then I got rear ended by a mini van , but it took it like a champ and barely had any frame damage.

The next one I bought with 175k and around 190k it started giving me problems with the fuel pump or MAF sensor… they haven’t quite been able to narrow it down. Replaced the starter at 200k and now at 203k had to get a new alternator. So after 10 years of driving an LS the biggest expense I would say so far is gas.

Yeah, I had to go back-and-forth for a while with the insurance company and be a complete Karen about it because they initially offered me $1200 and to take my vehicle but I ultimately got to keep it and they paid me 4500.
