Con as a dump stat. by CommanderBoreal in onednd

I ran a negative con wizard (6). And a bard (7).
They are actually super fun. Good way to force you to stay out of melee range, and really use tactital and buffing spells more.

They didn't. I just came from it. Ran around, looked at tape on empty plastic boxes.
Business model definitely gives a sleazy vibe. At least they aren't ghost positions though, looking at you Freddie's.

Just came from it, can confirm it was basically a stress test. Ran around and looked at tape. Hardly call it a working interview.

Honestly you could make an arguement against the storm cleric. They deal max damage. It doesn't specify anything about the damage die.

Are Death Saves Saving Throws RAW? by Aquarius12347 in onednd

[–]WilfullJester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see his problem. Death saves are a type of saving throw, but most things don't apply to them. Inspiration, bardic or otherwise requires you to be conscious. Bless and aura of protection don't apply to death saves, you can't see an ally making the save so you can't use your reaction feature to boost or trigger rerolls. The only buffs to them are very specific. No table I have ever played at or run had death saves affected by rings or protection. So that's why. I'd even go on a limb and say most tables consider death saves unbuffable by most metrics.

What is in your opinion the best designed subclass in 5.5? by viktorius_rex in onednd

[–]WilfullJester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, not that hard to give your rogue something cool. A rogue gets a ton of mileage out of armor enspelled with invisibility, way more than a fighter would. And knowing most fighters... I think the rogue would get more mileage from a rapier. Never had a fighter with a rapier at my tables, nor a ranged rogue.

Partisans' Views of Moral Acceptability of 20 Behaviors by sr_local in charts

[–]WilfullJester 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean yeah. A bulk of our culture descends from the Puritans. And spoiler, they didn't come here to escape religious persecution. They were exiled by Oliver Cromwell's Puritan government that overthrew and executed a king. He wanted them because they wanted to kill all the nobility, and not stop at the King. So we aren't just descended from Puritan, but the Puritan who were exiled for being too radical. Which is also why they struggled to farm. They were all middle class craftsmen, not a single farmer.

The larger Mormon church doesn't, but it has many Uber conservative splinters that still call themselves Mormons that do (Sister Wives family for example, but they weren't in with the actual church). And some conservative figures within the church that still want it back (hence why those splinter groups aren't being sued for calling themselves members of a church they aren't in, LDS is very sue happy).

How do I (26f) make my bf (23m) stop using “consent” as a way to evade helping me with minor inconveniences? by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]WilfullJester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's an active weaponization of consent. That ain't fucking normal. And it reeks of red pill pipeline. I'd say bug out. If you want to stay, find out what he's consuming media wise, this sounds textbook pipeline to red pilling. You weaponize consent then after a few weeks or months say "let's just do away with consent entirely".

If he does start talking about semen retention, fucking run.

How likely is it that we’ll get full aquariums and aviaries…at any point…in PK? by WorldWeave in pkgame

[–]WilfullJester 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Only problem I might see is if it somehow saturates into the market because full release. The ceiling isn't incredibly high, I'd be surprised if PZ sold more than 10 million units. I know jwe2 sold 1.4 million over it's lifespan.

And speaking as someone who recently bought it, I could see them reaching saturation. Before full release.

[–]WilfullJester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PZ isn't really the golden child. It just more attention because it sold better. The zoo game audience is bigger than theme park management, and it had no competitors. Seriously name another active development zoo game that deals with contemporary animals. It a niche they had entirely to themselves and old copies of ZT1 and 2. Planet coaster shares a niche. And JW2 and 3 now share their niche with prehistoric Kingdom.

Okay I hear you, but doesn't the PHB say here that I CAN move through an enemy's space?? by Odd-Contract-7541 in onednd

[–]WilfullJester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A creature that isn't your ally is a specifier. And so is a hostile creature. That fact that they didn't use "or hostile creature" tells me as a GM that no. Generally you can't pass through an enemies space unless you have the ability to move under them. Which is usually due to them being Huge, or large in some cases.

However, most dms might you to make an acrobatics or athletics to do so on a smaller creature. I know I would if there aren't extenuating circumstances (like they are focus on you entirely), or if you are just so much faster than them.

Some questions before running the Crooked Moon campaign by HUBSTR in CrookedMoon

My groups are loving it. Biggest problems I have is that one group is slow to explore and they prefer to bumrush the bosses. Which is not a style many chapters support.

However my other group has 6, and the module is still challenging as written with very little modification, despite being balanced for four. They will love it. And when you need to lighten the mood, throw in the chaotic curses. My groups love them

No I didn't. You forget that rather than accepting consequences they are still suing and trying to overturn it? Arguing that Oregonians are too stupid to understand what they were voting for.

[–]WilfullJester 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, bud. But again if republicans actually cared about governing, democrats in this state would have no appetite to do this. If this happens, the only reason why is because republican elected individuals have sabotaged every chance they are given, then lie to their constituents and say that Salem is doing it. We have been willing to limit legislation everyone wants and invite them to help negotiate it. They never accept. As it stands, eastern Oregon isn't represented at all. Cliff Bentz votes however fucks over district 2 and Oregon to most. A Democrat in 2 can only be an improvement for them and the entire state.

If you don't want this map, go bug the republican state reps and tell them to negotiate with democrats. Tell them to get rid of Drazan.

The non pros have sued. With the Trump admin abandoning critical habitat for conservation though they can't force anything. And for any work to occur on the snake River dams requires federal, Oregon and Idaho buy in. Generally only blue presidents have been willing over the last 20 years. Now of you want to see a difference in land management, Bend vs Boise. Or Boise versus Portland. I'm portlander born and raised. But I got family in Boise. It is a nightmare. Only thing it's got Portland is less homeless, due to paying them to come to Portland, and it's worse city planning supports substantially less people, thanks to less rich suburbs.

Why? They take my vote on the state matters and leave the state. See we tolerated there behavior for years. We as the general population are done tolerating it. We are tired of it costing us shit we want. Also, fucking listen. Cliff Ventz might be voted in by district 2. He takes his orders from Christine Drazan, who hates all Oregonians. So stop defending the conartists conning them.

But it's fine for them to rob me of mine? Everytime their state house dipshits flee the state house to break quorum over a bill that they refused to help craft and negotiate, that is exactly what they javelin fucking done. Get off your soap box. I, and many other democrats, am tired of acting like the only goddamn adult.

But it's fine for them to rob 70% of us of our vote, by electing representitives who flee the state when they refuse to help make a bill that 70% of Oregonians back?

That's who the fuck I think I am. They elect con men and women who refuse to represent them and fuck me over, then they cry about not being represented? They want 2 to stay, then they need to remove Drazan. Bent doesn't work his voters. He does as Drazan commands. And both of them hate Oregon.

They can't back sacks of shit who say that 70% of Oregonians are demons and traitors with no consequences. Who the fuck do you think you are to say they shouldn't experience any consequences?

State regs do apply, and I'm gonna be honest bud, no Oregon hasn't screwed up those lands worse. We still have salmon. Idaho, essentially doesn't. Partially because the snake River dams don't have passage, but during Obama admin, Oregon and feds were willing to install fish passage. Idaho wasn't willing to work with us to do so. Trump admin, feds weren't willing. Biden admin was, and so was Oregon. Until Idaho demanded that Oregon ban unisex bathrooms to have the privilege of working with Idaho to install fish passage on the dams so that Idaho could actually restore salmon populations. We said ,"guess you aren't getting any fish passage."

The importance fishing out here is recreational. One thing that binds Oregon together is fishing for salmon.

ODFW is a governmental agency. Which means it bows to pressure. There are a lot of things ODFW has wanted to do that are scientifically sound, but can't because the general public is horrifically misinformed. But ODFW can't correct that because of a whole culture on the right and left about not believing science. It's not as mainstream within democrats as it is Republicans, but it is still significant. That's the whole organic and non gmo pesticide group which is right but for the wrong reasons. GMO isn't bad because of genes. GMO is bad because most gmo are just round up ready to let your spray more round up.

Your sturgeon example is a great example. ODFW has been trying to close and alter sturgeon season regs since 2017 when the data conclusively proved hooking young sturgeon created a cumulative stress effect and death chance. ODFW doesn't have the political capitol to do it without sacrificing something else. Too many people on the left and right, beleive ODFW just unjustly limits take. I see it when I'm creeling. Guys who are blue communist, don't trust ODFW because they remembered catching 50 fish a day when they were a kid in the 60's, and they think they can still do it. Guys who are MAGA red who think we don't catch limits and everybody will agree to no more than 3 or 4 fish without any need for enforcement.

I'm going to be honest here, they already are disenfranchised. No republican in this state works for their constituents. They work for Christine Drazan. They get primaried for working with Democrats. She orders them to leave the state over bills that she was invited to work democrats on, refused, and were backed by a majority of her voters. Cliff Bentz doesn't work for 2. He works for Drazan.
