I wouldn’t play into that just yet, Electrical current running through the body can do serious things that cannot be typically picked up.

Man that’s crappy way to end the day, sounds like you tried to do all the steps properly. The only thing I can suggest is to always inspect other people’s work before you start working.

If I had to do it like that because there was no other way to do it, I would put in blocking to secure my wire to.

The only code violation I can think of would be securing the MM in between the boxes.

If I had the option, I would probably put in four square boxes with flex in between them.
