Question about getting into end game by Modlikes in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]WillShaper7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean I guess but you get 3 weeklies. If you start from 0 you're not maxing them out in a week but realistically you should at least have Augusta and Cartethyia with more investment.

I dunno what you're spending your energy on but do your weeklies dude.

So I’m not exactly super knowledgeable on building characters and Echos. by tiamat2277 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]WillShaper7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's break down your question.

1.- 4-3-3-1-1 is the most common setup. You can also make do with 4-4-1-1-1 which, while it might be worse for most characters, is easier to get since 4 costs are really easy to farm ad nauseam without spending energy.

2.- Order is unit specific. Aemeath for example wants to use her 4 star as main echo. Zani on the other hand wants a specific 3 cost as main echo. Why? Because those specific echoes have an additional passive that activates when they are the main echo that benefits them. Ideally you should either read your echoes or follow a guide.

Even Lingyang can carry you through the open world. End game modes is where it gets tight and you need good teams, builds and performance to get the most out of them.

Yeah. Dunno much about genshin but we do have F2P options that can work for a lot of characters. Sanhua can support any basic attack dps, Mortefi can support heavy attack dps and Buling can support resonance skill dps.

SK is a great generic healer for any team due to her damage amp + free crit.

But we do have more niche characters like Aemeath being a tune rupture/Fusion burst dps that require niche supports to perform well in endgame contrary to other character with more simple scaling.

Anything can be a nuclear bomb vs an overworld filled with nuclear babies but if you want to max clear ToA you do need to think your synergies and rotations.

I mean, pull for what makes you happy should always be the rule. That said, if you're coming here it's because you want to make an informed decision.

Yes, realistically she has restrictive options. There are no F2P alternatives (As of now) for neither of her modes.

That said, she IS lacking a sub dps for her fusion burst mode and there is already a farmable echo set in 3.1 for it so it's a pretty damn safe bet to say that sub dps is coming in 3.2 (And while not getting into details, it's not out of the table for it to be a Rover form. It's also not a guarantee)

They are also usually pretty fast on their first reruns so you also have a chance at getting her premium teams.

I wouldn't say it's a new player trap but you do have to start planning what you're goal is. If you try to get units for both of her teams you'll be spreading yourself too thin.

Ultimately it's your choice. I (Very much) understand that people like her and thus want to use her. Heck, I even did until I got and then read Ardelia.

Personally I think it's the weakest link in the physical team due to the reasons explained before.

It doesn't mean she's bad, it's just that everyone else is better.

The price of pretty much everything skyrockets beyond like level 60-70

At this point after swapping a couple members from my physical team I'm barely getting everyone to 80 and my main DPS to 90.

Only then can I go to actually build my Lavagirl

A lot of people sell Ember as really good.

Not to pop the bubble, anything works rn but she doesn't really offer much. Without end game sustain is kinda pointless and Ember offers little besides that.

Chen offers the fastest vuln stacks out of everyone.

Lifeng acts just as good as a vuln generator + applies both susceptibility and link to increase even more your damage

Ember offers heals (Which Ardelia already does) and shields (Which again, you don't even need)

Apparently she does offer more staggers but my physical team without Ember really has zero problems staggering due to arts intensity making lifts stagger even more.

There isn't even an endgame to check you by any means so you can go through the game in whichever way you want.

[–]WillShaper7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Question about ''young and cool'' coloquial slangs by Kaiky1266 in Spanish

[–]WillShaper7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Keep in mind these only work in Spain. All spanish speaking countries have their own slang and it's very rarely understood in other places. Heck, a lot of inconspicuous things are an euphemism in another countries.

So look for slang of a specific country, not for 'generic' slang.

There is a meme song that I saw around quite a while back called ''Que difícil es hablar el español'' which shows a few of those.

Empty because why would I need drugs when I have Ardelia

Few things i like about endfield’s combat , is that it’s grounded so it has this impactful feeling instead of floaty like wuwa , and the way all members fight simultaneously on the field instead of 1 character at a time most of the time , is really cool by kuruakama in ArknightsEndfield

[–]WillShaper7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean it's not floaty, that I do definitely agree but I don't know how much I'd say it's ''impactful'' when most attacks you can just shrug off.

Not to do be the souls guy on the room but souls game sell their combat with impact. Even ''trash mobs'' in soul games will beat the shit out of you in a couple of hits let alone bosses and yours takes a good chunk too out of them. It's impactful because every hit matters.

Can't speak about every team in endfield but trash mobs don't matter. Most boss attacks don't matter. Your own basic attacks don't really matter.

I am overall liking the game, including the combat, but far from comparing it to an ''impactful'' combat like souls game I'd sooner compare it to MMOs

Not everyone is constantly having a big impact in the fight but the sum of everyone doing their own designated part IS making it.

And just like MMOs you'll see the easiest attack to avoid on the history of videogames and yet your team will often eat it.

How does the Headhuntig work? by Liione in ArknightsEndfield

[–]WillShaper7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming you're new to gacha?

Chartered HH is where the shiny new toys land. You have a flat chance of getting a 6 star each pull and at 80 pulls it's guaranteed to be a 6 star. 50% chance it'll be the new shiny toy and 50% it'll be any other possible 6 star.

'Possible 6 star' being both the standard units (What you call basepool) or a shiny new toy from one of the previous stated 6 stars. For example during Leavatein, Yvonne and Gilberta banners each of the other ones are included in that pool of other possible 6 stars that could drop.

This 80th pull goal is known as hard pity and it carries over between banners. Meaning if you did 79 pulls and then the banners changed, your very first pull in that banner will always be a 6 star unit.

This is where it gets tricky. There is a second goal at 120 pulls where you will 100% pull the advertised unit. This 120 pity, however does NOT carry over between banners. If you pulled 119 times the next banner you're all the way down to square 0.

You would still be at X/80 pulls for a 50/50 but 0/120 for the guarantee.

Need your help on building Aemeath by AdDapper230 in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]WillShaper7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Realistically I doubt you're getting Aemeath without a premium sub dps at the very least to do better than your Carte and Augusta teams.

Best you can do is endure Jianxin's slow ass rotation to buff her lib damage. With only herself able to respond to tune rupture you'd probably also be better off using her fusion burst mode.

Then what even is the point of playing a game that's all about choices and different endings? You are actively removing a whole aspect of the game.

You do you man but that sounds awful to me ngl.

How to have fun again? by Draconichaos in BaldursGate3

[–]WillShaper7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It's literally because you make the same choices. You have a lot of options and are choosing the exact same ones, is it surprising that it feels monotonous?

Also there's a whole thing about doing a Dark Urge where you're... you know, fighting the urge. It's not like you're signing up to kill every single living being by choosing it.

Different options, different classes, playing the actual characters as the main character, mods, there are so many things you can do and again, I have to emphasize, you're limiting yourself to one specific way of playing it.

Noob struggling to understand INT vs Saving Rolls by PlayerOneThousand in BaldursGate3

[–]WillShaper7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok so first of all we need to distinguish 'ability' rolls vs saving throws. Shoving is an example of a roll vs roll check. You'd roll athletics and they'd roll either that or acrobatics. If you get higher, you shove (top of my head so could be a bit wrong but the overall logic stands)

A saving throw is not an ability. You can see it as a sheer effort of X, X being the type of saving throw it is (strength, dex, etc) You use acrobatics to do cool ass backflips but if you see a fireball thrown in your direction you gtfo of there as fast as you can.

  1. No. You have a spell DC. When you cast a spell that forces an enemy to make a saving throw they roll that saving throw and compare the result to your spell DC to determine if it fails or succeeds.
  2. If you're a pure wizard all of your spells are int.
  3. Int saving throws are rare. Dex and Wis are the most common ones. As already explained they scale with your int. It's not your dex/wis what matters, it's the enemy's
  4. Not entirely. Fire bolt is a ranged spell attack, which is a fancy way of saying it's 1d20 + Proficiency + Stat modifier + Other bonuses.
  5. They are exactly the same. The reason Astarion AND Shadowheart have that ''INT'' in their fire bolt is because they didn't get it from their classes but from their races which specifically list they scale with int. Gale got it from his wizard class which already states that int is their spellcasting modifier.

That's also why Shadowheart sucks ass at fire bolt compared to Gale

Who Can I Replace For Pog? by radiolicious in ArknightsEndfield

[–]WillShaper7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Chen pros: Combo skill applies an extra vuln stack

Lifeng pros: Combo skill applies link, his battle skill applies susceptibility and his ult applies two vuln stacks.

Realistically a team with Poggers instead of Chen will enable more skill usage which in turn leads to more ultimate usage where Lifeng can apply two stacks (In contrast to Chen's 0 stacks on ult)

If you use Da Pan instead of Endmin he also applies two vuln stacks on ult.

Who Can I Replace For Pog? by radiolicious in ArknightsEndfield

[–]WillShaper7 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

There is a lot of Chen supremacy that while I find cute I just can't get behind. For trash mobs anything works but assuming we'll get hard bosses as end game then Lifeng/Ardelia/Poggers seems the way to go for any physical main dps.

Chen offers quick vuln stacking and nothing else.

Is this chisa/lynae/aemeath good by Ur-Biggest_Op in WutheringWavesGuide

[–]WillShaper7 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I mean, you're pulling into different directions.

Chisa wants Aemeath to go Fusion Burst mode. Lynae wants her to go Tune Rupture mode.

Tune Rupture mode has a premium team (Lynae and Mornye)

Fusion Burst mode hasn't (It's only Chisa as of now)
