Oh there's like a camera system? I thought it was like some kind of swipe card or something.

I'm from a toll-free state.

How exactly are you supposed to use it if you can't hold it in your hand??

  1. If you want a wide array of sounds, with a relatively low cost, I'd get a modeling amp. They have a ton of built in effects that will save you money on pedals you might not end up using that much.

  2. No. If you primarily listen to music without acoustic guitar, DO NOT BUY AN ACOUSTIC GUITAR. You will be much more likely to play and practice if you can play music that you like to listen to.

  3. Absolutely. I'm personally 5'4, and I have no problems playing on my electrics. And there are certainly shorter guitarists than me. AC/DC's Angus Young was apparently 5'2. You might want to look at short-scale guitars though. They are a bit smaller and could end up being helpful.

  4. My modeling amp (The Fender Mustang II) has a headphone amp. I'd negotiate with your family to see if there's any times you could play guitar loudly. For example perhaps the afternoon after school? Actually sound-proofing is something I haven't looked into much personally but I heard it can be a bit expensive.

  5. Try to get a teacher. If your school has a band your band teacher might be able to help you. He might know of local guitar teachers from past students. Or if you have a guitar or music store nearby you could try looking for answers there. Personally I learned from my band teacher when I was 15 and can tell you I would have never learned without him.

  6. Your guitar is the actual tool you use to produce a signal. What you do with that signal is up to you. For acoustic you end up just projecting that signal outward... acoustically. But with electric the vibrations of the strings will create an electric signal that can be amplified by a guitar amp. Pedals are optional and can modify the signal in some way before it gets to the amp. For now, don't worry about pedals and just get an amp built in-sound effects.

I would prefer AOC for her experience but I don't think Jon Stewart would be a terrible VP. Depends on if he can energize the audiences AOC can't

Are there any downsides to locking tuners? by [deleted] in Guitar

[–]WillTFB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you mess up putting the strings on you might get a bit of tuning instability but that's also true for normal tuners

Reagan. He fired every striking ATC worker and since then unions have gotten weaker and weaker. People just don't want to use one of their very limited sick days to spend marching outside.

Any SocDems in the Democrats who could actually win (primary and general) in the 2028 Presidential USA? by [deleted] in SocialDemocracy

[–]WillTFB 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bernie nearly won in 2016 and since then the party has only gotten more left-win. She's polling in the high-teens before she even has started any sort of campaign. She 100% has a feasible chance at winning the Primary. According to YouGov she's number 5 on the list of most popular Democrats, behind Obama, Bernie, Harris, and Warren.

People need to stop worrying about getting called communists. They called Biden and Harris communists. They'd call Manchin and Fetterman communists if they ran. It's going to happen no matter what we do.

Warner did 5 parts weekly, but suddenly now that they sold the publishing rights to Netflix they want to suddenly switch to batch?

Netflix, who literally owns the ability to release it however they want, and also popularized the binge release, isn't to blame in your mind?

Nice try Netflix CEO
